This season was theme-less...more about making clothes for the folks who usher creativity into the world: CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS. I first imagined the iconic artists that inspire me wearing these pieces as they live and work...then I imagined all the artists in MY life that actually CREATE THE CULTURE WE CONSUME. I thought about the MUAs, DJs, models, stylists, editors, writers, agents, sculptors, musicians, painters, designers of all ilks, hairstylists, dancers, singers, graphic artists, actors....what are the common denominators about how we all dress? We all want clothes that are chic, cool, artful, comfortable, versatile, packable, can be easily dressed up & down, interesting, well-designed...so THAT'S what I did!

Many of you know that A.Potts is designed for professional creatives....and for people who aspire to creative lives. When I see this ethos come to life, it absolutely fills my heart with joy. THIS is one of those beautiful moments.

Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of being the featured designer at the @passporttodiscovery show which was produced by one of my besties, @publicmodeltheclub who is a show producer, agent, scout and font of wisdom extraordinaire. I always have an amazing time with my big bro DJ and the Barbizon team. It is through DJ that I met an angel in my life, @giselesoto_abc, another brilliant agent...and moreover, my FRIEND who I adore. When DJ & Gigi speak, I listen.

After the show, Gigi tells me that she met a young woman during the show who loved the clothes and that I MUST meet her because she has an upcoming event. So I meet this lovely young lady, @katiekinman7, and we exchange info. I later invite her up to @agentrypr to make a selection because girlfriend is a young actress making her big director film debut....annnddddd....her film festival debut at the @venice.film.festival....and sis needed some looks!!! Katie stars in the new Gus Van Sant film DEAD MAN'S WIRE - I am sooooo thrilled for her! Our meeting was perfection. Not only does Katie look amazing in A.Potts and fits all the samples, but she is a LOVELLYYYYYYY person. I was absolutely smitten.

We send the pcs off and I say, Katie...don't forget to send me photos! What I got back snatched my proverbial wig. Gorgeous photos/videos of this beautiful, talented young woman not only embodying the moment, but most importantly, embodying HERSELF. A great dress is fine....but an authentic spirit in a great dress is priceless.

I look forward to making even more magic with Katie! Keep your eyes peeled!!!!!

By choice, I haven't been on IG in a while. I've been taking time to figure things out, get on track, process, reprocess, assess, reassess, fine tune, edit, focus and all associated things...and sometimes you need silence to do that. I made a decision to focus solely on the showroom this upcoming SS26 season, to focus on finishing AW25 production and special orders, and to lay seeds for new projects. But y'all know I live for a show...so we'll be back to that shortly. Shows for me are marketing, but also a huge form of creative expression. They are also a bit of a family reunion for me and the crew....bringing together all the models, beauty experts, production crew members, press, stylists, personalities, interns, editors and family that have become important to me. I find the shows to be a big expression of joy and connection....and that has value, FOR ME.

I have been thinking a lot about inspiration, influence and THE WHY. I've thought so much about what brought me here....how/why do I want to continue...and what do I need to keep going. Those thoughts brought me back to young Aaron moving to NYC to go to Parsons, working on 7th Avenue, moving to Europe, etc. I thought about the folks who, without knowing it, put a fire in my belly to run towards my dreams. And that led me back to MY MOST IMPORTANT FASHION PHOTO THAT SPEAKS TO ME. And it is this one of my friend @sandibscout and ALT. The word ICON is thrown around like a frisbee today...but THIS is the embodiment of ICONIC. It is all at once chic, elegant, kinetic, revolutionary, raw, hyper modern, defiant, groundbreaking and loving...all things I try to infuse into my work...and my being.
