Massenet, Debussy and Fauré, as well as their famous and lesser-known protégés, are celebrated by @adelecharvet and @floriancaroubi on their new @alpha_classics album. With these three great French melodists as its starting point, ‘Belle époque!’ traces their contribution to, and far-reaching influence on, the French melody. After winning numerous prizes at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger and IVC competitions together, Adèle Charvet and Florian Caroubi mark 10 years of collaboration in 2025.

For her second recital with piano, mezzo-soprano @adelecharvet reunites with her regular duo partner @floriancaroubi. Together they celebrate the Belle Époque of the great French melodists (Massenet, Debussy, Fauré) and their protégés, including Chausson, Hahn, Koechlin, Aubert, Caplet, Messager, Enesco, Albéniz and Nadia Boulanger, as well as the much less known Xavier Leroux, Madeleine Dubois and Ernest Moret. Today is the day!
Jumping in at @theateranderwien for Ariodante, replacing the divine Magdalena Kožená. Wishing her a smooth recovery 🤍
So, so honored to make my debut here in Vienna with the wonderful @lacetrabasel. Without my colleagues recommending me (merci @christophe_dumaux_officiel & @emiliano.gonzalez.toro 🥰), the ensemble being so kind, flexible, and welcoming to me and my daughter (thank you Andrea, Jenny & Ezra), and a whole network of musicians helping me find wonderful people to take care of my child, I definitely wouldn’t be here today. My daughter has been an angel (most of the time ;) ), despite not sleeping nearly enough and an intense travel schedule. Having her by my side through all of this has been really special 🥰

I hadn’t touched the score in over a year and a half, and had sung it in a different pitch, so the adrenaline rush today is… intense :) But right now all I feel is gratitude. Wish me luck tonight 🥹 !
