Making some progress on the next Lumberjack Engineering design for the Landcruiser community - this time, bringing our Nighthawk Chase light housing to the 100 Series!

These have been super popular among the 4th gen 4Runner crowd and I'm excited to bring the style & design cues over to the 1998-2007 Landcruiser & LX470 platform.

Two @bajadesigns S2 pod lights, a @wolfbox_official camera, and a 7.5" brake light come together in a snazzy housing that replaces your factory 3rd brake light in the rear hatch.

I designed and printed a small levitating droid. It is equipped with a sound sensor, a laser scanner, opening doors, LEDs and a bunch of interchangeable interactive weapons. From bombs being dropped, to circular saws. I managed to get all the necessary electronics inside the case, and the Fusion 360 helped me with that. I have drawn all the necessary elements and arranged them using the program. I was also able to develop a door-opening mechanism that also holds weapons and drops bombs in an alternate version. Body parts and weapons are easy to change, thanks to the pogo pin, and the body is assembled without bolts and glue!

This is my new place of work. Here we grow spruce, pine, and larch seedlings all year round to restore forests.
We grow about 3.6 million seedlings per year. Extracting the seedlings from the cassettes was hard work, requiring the use
of a large number of people. But now we have created our own automatic machine for this task.
The project is completely created in Fusion 360.
I am not a mechanic by training, but I am very attracted to create mechanisms.
Fusion 360 became my assistant. I created 3d models of the actuators and placed them in the drawing.
I connected the mechanisms in the program, moved them and watched how they interact.
This helped me to find design errors in advance that could stop the work at the assembly stage.
I used an interesting solution in this machine, using airsoft balls.
I made something like a bearing and a lock at the same time.
This assembly made it possible to firmly hold the carbon plates in the desired position, and when necessary, rotate them.
This mechanism made it possible to hold all the seedlings removed from the cassette and then move them into the package.
We did not find such a solution on the market and patented our machine.
For me, it's my personal success that tells me I'm on the right track.
I hope my experience will encourage people to study CAD systems and develop

This has been in my brain for the better part of 6 months now - when I initially approached @diodedynamics about providing some lighting for this project, they were super supportive and sent over a pair of their SSC2.0 Pro pods for me to integrate - and man, I can't wait to see how they look! It's taken a while to figure out exactly how I want this front grille to look, but man, I think it's looking good.

(I'm also thinking I should figure out how to backlight the LJE logo in the middle. It would be too much fun tomake the color corrospond to what diff lockers are engaged at the moment!)

I'll be cutting this grille on the @langmuirsystems Apollo laser - I was one of the very first pre-orders (in the first 20!) and I can't wait to start putting it to use. Complex bend geometry for the support structure will be handled by the Titan25C.

Ordering metal this next week - can't wait to get rolling on this!
