🩸 The people of Iran are still living under a filthy regime occupying the country, which is still mass executing innocent people, still killing our people under torture, still enforcing the internet blackout for 90 million people (over 1000 hours now) 🚨 47 years of destroying our homeland and making generations of Iranian people bleed.
Thank you to the @lets.touch.base fam🫀 and those who have been uplifting our community. we see and appreciate you.

Some people think what’s happening in Iran is about the collapsing economy or forced hijab.
It’s not.
For 47 years, the Iranian people have been living under a brutal regime that has silenced, imprisoned, tortured, and killed anyone who dares to speak against it.
Generations have grown up under fear, lives shaped by censorship, violence, and repression.
In January we witnessed one of the most devastating crackdowns in our modern history. At least 50,000 people were k:lled. At least 30k detained — taken to unknown locations, disappeared, t0rtur3d. 330k injured. 8k blinded. Families don’t know where their loved ones are. This is ongoing and hasn’t stopped. They are still executing people behind closed doors.
It’s our responsibility -as we can speak freely - to be their voice.
We use art as a form of resistance and survival - in opposition to a system that wants silence, isolation, and fear.
This set is a collection of sounds, poems, music that carry various emotions and feelings… mourning, rage, longing, resilience, and hope for freedom.
We hold space to remember those who were killed and those who lost their loved ones.
To stand with those who are detained and being tortured.
To amplify those who cannot speak.
So I invite you to pay attention. Amplify their voices. Stand with us.
Let the blood of our people who fought for freedom not be forgotten.
Freedom for Iran.

To stand with those who are detained and being tortured.
To amplify those who cannot speak.
So I invite you to pay attention. Amplify their voices. Stand with us.
Let the blood of our people who fought for freedom not be forgotten.
Freedom for Iran.

Big love to @geopo.e for having me on her Virgin Leyla show on @komrad94 💜 available to listen now on SoundCloud.
This mix was really special for me. It opens with @mahmoodschricker ‘s Meshkatian track— a tribute to the legendary santoor master, Parviz Meshkatian.
This piece drew me in to listen to Meshkatian's interview (sampled in the track). He reflects on the transformative power of wordless music — how it invites listeners to surrender and embark on their own journey through sound. I recorded this bit and layered it on Schricker's track (the one with the chopped up vocals). The quote (pictured) was the guiding spirit of the mix.
In homage to those who laid the foundations of traditional Persian music — an ocean of endless talent, paired with socio-political struggle.
Also this was my first time making a mix on Ableton… so big love and appreciation to my dear friends and the best Ableton teachers, @jaredlovemusic @joelarmstrongmedia 🙏🏽

Day 2 of Public Disco on Granville Island is curated by @2flowersdj, whose lineup moves through house and disco with a clear sense of where this music comes from and where it lives right now. Pull up ready to dance.
@2flowersdj is a Black and non-binary event curator and DJ shaped by the power of music to help people express themselves, explore identity, and connect with community. Raised on Chicago radio and a deep family record collection, they approach programming with care, intention, and respect for cultural roots, creating spaces where people who normally have their existence challenged can fully express themselves.
✷ DJ Lineup
The lineup brings together six artists from across Vancouver’s dance music scene.
✦ @spacecadet.hello opens the afternoon with balearic, atmospheric, and rhythmic incantations, with no regard for genre boundaries and a deep sense of dancefloor dynamics.
✦ @costabesta takes the floor, highlighting music from his home country of South Africa through deep house, Afro tech, Amapiano, Gqom, and more.
✦ @its.and.x.rea follows with the glowing sounds of house, disco, and soulful basslines.
✦ @2flowersdj anchors the middle of the evening with analog rhythm, warm pressure, soulful artifacts, and shifting texture weaving it all until ecstatic, spiritual release is inevitable.
✦ @afrooz.dj brings sublime minimal grooves and dub textures, occasionally transforming into disco beauty, informed by a life split between Vancouver and Tehran.
✦ @fabasi, a Vancouver scene veteran, the roots and future of dance music transmitted through the stylus spanning deep house, disco, funk, and italo, closing the night all on vinyl.

up next on azul radio is @afrooz.dj 🌀✨👾
afrooz and i met through our mutual @awood55 a few years ago and the rest is history! She is such a g in every sense of the word and a true music nerd AND an absolute beast on the decks. every time i hear her play I always hear how much intention she really puts into everything that she does, and it always brings me back to why i love music so much 😍
she moves fluidly through techno, tech, acid, house and all the deep spaces in between guided by real musical storytelling, and a true connection to the music through feeling and emotion. a raver first, with a sound rooted in years of deep listening before ever stepping behind the decks. iranian dj + visual artist, born in vancouver, shaped between here and tehran, with influences stretching wide from jalil shahnaz to wu tang.
she’s an inspiration to me on and off the floor and i’m so excited to have her on💛💙💜🩶

up next on azul radio is @afrooz.dj 🌀✨👾
afrooz and i met through our mutual @awood55 a few years ago and the rest is history! She is such a g in every sense of the word and a true music nerd AND an absolute beast on the decks. every time i hear her play I always hear how much intention she really puts into everything that she does, and it always brings me back to why i love music so much 😍

[Launch party: Entropy] - May 30th
Entropy: tendency of systems to move towards chaos and equilibrium.
Entropy aims to gather music and sound lovers around deeper and meaningful techno, powered by Synesthesia's sound system. The night will unfold from deep & minimalist rhythms into hypnotic and psychedelic grooves.
The Curators (by order):
Kafka - @richardduggan
Afrooz - @afrooz.dj
Untorn - @vicarms
Highcue - @highcue_dj
Psydalife - @psydalife
This first edition marks the birth of our sound system collective. After a year of silence (and labor), the result of our craft finally finds its voice. We’ve built this rig to be the centerpiece of our world: a physical manifestation of the music we love.
The spark for this project was lit in the European underground. Some of us were raised with the Free Tekno movement, where these parties build themselves, by the community, for the community, far from the commercial lens and against capitalism. These spaces exist through collective energy, shared values and shaped the techno culture since day one with the biggest focus being DIY sound systems.
As a tribute to the culture that educated us, this launch is donation-based. Minimum: $5 | Recommended: $15 - $20
🔊 Sound by: Synesthesia Sound System
📍 Location: TBA (East Van)

The third issue is out!
A lot of work went into this, and I hope that anyone who takes a moment to flip through it—and maybe dive a little deeper—discovers something new about the amazing people who shape this city’s scene and becomes a bit curious to know about each persons journey and not only what they play and produce.
This will be the last zine for a while, as I’ll be making my way back to Colombia for some time in the coming month. But I’ll do my absolute best to come back and continue this project.
Send me a message if you’d like a copy or find it at one these beautiful shops:

Label Takeover at Gorg-O-Mish
OBSKUR MUSIC takes control of the afterhours for a full label takeover, bringing our resident artists together to deliver a complete night of sound from open to close.

Hi community ❤️🩹 thank you for all your support throughout this time. Please don’t stop talking about Iran. They are still k!lling our people. We are still grieving. Iran is still bl33ding. They have sl@ughtered so many. 😔 at least 40,000. It’s probably double that. We won’t know for a while.
Art, music, coming together have been the only things keeping me sane. These are also forms of resistance when the oppressor is against all of these. Against joy, against unity. We need to stand together more than ever these days.
I am hosting a gathering at our beloved @bsidedotradio on Sunday Feb 15. 10pm to 12am. Come by to be together, to show solidarity 🫂💚🤍❤️🩹
Big love and thanks to @fndbt for facilitating this and to @bsidedotradio for the space. 🫂
long live Iran.

2025 🫀 Grateful for a year shaped by connection, trust, and incredible music. The highlights (pictured here) were beautiful, but it wasn’t short of challenging moments… they’re best teachers.
My chosen family kept me sane, and music kept me grounded, like always. Surrounded by people who believed in me and made it feel like home. 🥹
Thank you to all the organizers for the trust, venue staff, dancers, producers, and friends (old and new) who I was lucky to share this year with. My heart is full and looking forward to what next year brings.
Ending the year at the legendary @gorgomish tomorrow night with a heavy lineup — one of the first places I’d go for the underground sound at 19, as a baby raver 👶🏻, now they’re celebrating 22 years. A full-circle moment, held with deep gratitude and honour 🙏🏽🫀

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
