” Urwald” is out today.

Now remastered and re-released, it’s a track from a time when I was very much into the sound of insects - and how those textures could be translated into rhythm and beats. First written in 2009, it never really left me. I kept coming back to it, and it still feels right to play today.

Last year I have had the honour to design the visual identity for @therealacidpauli ‘s new label @allisacid .

After intense consultation and experimentation we came up with a dynamic, minimalistic logo and a clear layout that maintains space for imagery, colour and rhythm. The logo is based on waves, acceleration and the letter A, while the design system comes with strong sans serif typography, a wide selection of pastel colours and generous spacing.

Since “All Is Acid” is a personal project focusing on the recordings Acid Pauli has produced over the decades of his work, it was clear that the cover art and centre part of the visual language must embrace this personal approach as well. Discovering the abundance of analogue photography produced by his partner @shira.shi over years of traveling together, we decided to use these exact images of memories to be the most appropriate counterpart to the music.

Minimalistic, repetitive, progressive and deep; opening a universe that invites us to look and listen at the details and textures of the work.

Our connection began in the most unexpected way…
Last year I played a track by Adiel at Apollo Milan and a fan-video made it to her. In return she reached out and shared with me a short video clip... In this film, she mentions ‘Den Mahlstrom rauf‘, citing it as a track that really shaped what electronic music means to her.
And this was the moment the idea for the remix was born.

This is really happening – our debut EP on @allisacid is finally here.
We’re beyond excited to release it into the world and to introduce our new label as a space for artistic freedom.

It’s been a liberating and challenging ride — over a year in the making — and today, I finally get to hold the first physical copy in my hands. Say hello to All is Acid 🤍

The EP is out now on Bandcamp, and will be available on all streaming platforms and in your favorite record stores on October 24.
