As Anda Union celebrate 20 years of music making the band have become a cultural phenomenon in the East. 2024 winners of the popular reality TV show The Big Band, they wowed audiences by singing in their mother tongue, rocketing into the limelight and bringing their Mongolian sound to the masses.
Anda Union bring a unique combination of styles from across the grasslands coalescing in a unique and magisterial sound whilst remaining true to their cultural roots. They have headlined many world music and mainstream festivals winning over fans around the world with their powerful music.

Formed in Hohhot in Inner Mongolia more than 20 years ago, Anda Union is a dynamic ensemble of musicians who trained from a young age in traditional Mongolian music.
Their name, Anda - meaning “blood brother” in Mongolian - reflects their deep bond and their shared mission: to preserve and revitalize the endangered cultural heritage of the steppe.
Drawing on the diverse traditions of Mongolia’s many ethnic groups, Anda Union weave together haunting long-song, resonant throat singing, and instrumental mastery on horse-head fiddles, two-stringed lutes, flutes, and percussion.
