Childhoods out in the woods foraging moss has come in handy in adult hood! The client gave me creative freedom and we went on a hike with my husband only to find the most beautiful moss- inspiration ✅ we came home with bags and bags of moss. Needless to say that was his first time foraging moss but most likely not the last 😅

Ya’ll! We only had a few days to pull the props together for this one and you know…the unplanned can be where the creative is forced to kick in. (Although having a wonderful photographer also makes everything beautiful already @christinahussey 📷✨) Honorable mention to my sister who DELIVERED with the honey comb (from her own bees mind you) and those herbs are being used for more than just prop styling 😆 and of course the designed space that sparkles in itself by @ashleysussman @newsouthhome

I get asked all the time, what does a prop stylist do? Ummm create magic for the camera!! Here are a few things that I try to do when styling-

•Dramatic Unique Florals - in this reel you can see the fluffy dried palm leaf arrangement and the oversized spring blossoms I chose to use in the living room. Anyone else for drama with their florals?! I really want to expand on that as I continue to grow in this field. I want more floral drama!!

•Sculptural Accents- For this project I brought in tons of sculptures and sculptural vases, which now I have begun collecting because I am obsessed with how the camera loves them and how they look in my bookshelf at home 😅

•Textiles- You can’t have enough pillows and blankets on the bed and that’s that!

•Enjoying the Process- Let’s smile and laugh together!! I am so honored to work inside such gorgeous homes and with such creative designers and their teams (yes it takes a village!) So let’s work together and enjoy the process of creating stunning editorial photos for magazines, advertising and your Instagram to get your dream clients and inspire other creatives 🥰
