I have been holding out on mentioning this before its release last night mainly because the little girl from St.Ann, Jamaica still can’t fathom it…but I am now officially an exhibitor at the American Museum of Natural History 🥹

Right after Carnival Tuesday I went straight to New York to experience @amnh ‘s ‘Climate Fete’, an event put on for the purpose of celebrating the resilience of Caribbean people in the face of climate change but to also dissect the ways in which it continues to affect our history, culture and survival.

My piece ‘Ixora: Woman of Wood and Wire’ was born from the need to represent our beautiful and diverse history and was created with sustainability as a priority. I’d like to thank Jackie Handy and the @amnh team for granting me such an incredible platform to showcase my art but also the support as I stand proudly, a West Indian woman trying to contribute to the larger conversation.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, my support system, my family, my people. Its easy to speak on what this means for me personally to showcase in one of the largest museums in the world as a girl from a small island with big dreams, but this one is not for me, its for all of us and may it allow a light to shine on our history, our struggle, our joy and our resilience.

This month, the American Museum of Natural History hosted Carnival at the Museum: A Climate Fete. This high-energy celebration of Caribbean culture featured Ixora: Woman of Wood and Wire by artist and designer @annaixe, who creates masterpieces from found and sustainable materials, and paid homage to the resilience of her home country, Jamaica, as it rebuilds from Hurricane Melissa.

This weekend is your last chance to see the installation of her grand Mas costume at the Museum! Find this work of art on Floor 2 of the Gilder Center.

Happy Sunday! 📦💝🇯🇲

A lil backstory - we all have that one Caribbean relative that always wants us to carry up rum for them when we travel 😩
I realized some airlines don’t allow the actual box (you can always opt for a bag or put it in your carry on) BUT I just think this box is such a cool 🇯🇲 statement so ….I decided to wear it instead 🤣

Thank you @portofcalljamaica for supporting me on my quest to preserve Caribbean culture through art and fashion ♥️♥️♥️

@yardmascarnival, Jamaica’s fastest-growing mas-band known for its celebration of national pride and creative excellence, has officially announced Anna-Lisa Guthrie (@annaixe) as its Creative Director for the 2026 season. This announcement comes ahead of the official band launch set for late November 2025, which promises to reveal a new era of design depth, inclusivity, and artistry for the Yard Mas brand.

A multidisciplinary creative celebrated for her innovative approach to costume design and storytelling through art, Anna-Lisa’s appointment signals Yard Mas’ continued commitment to showcasing authentic Jamaican talent on the global Carnival stage.
Andrew Bellamy (@andrewbellamyja), Managing Director, Yard Mas Carnival, expressed confidence in the band’s choice in the newly minted Creative Director; “Yard Mas has always pride itself in empowering Jamaicans, especially those who excel within our local creative industry. Anna-Lisa’s rise in the design world has been impressive, consistent and remarkable. I’ve worked with her in the past when she just entered the carnival design space. Undoubtedly Anna’s work as gone viral multiple times both locally and internationallymainly because of her innovation that connects deeply and resonates with people and our culture; similarly to how Yard Mas connects with our masqueraders. We are proud and confident that her creative direction will guide and ‘wow’ our 2026 theme, and without a doubt her personal designs will also excite and satisfy masqueraders.”

Already in full creation mode; Anna shared: “Art has always been my language — it’s how I translate emotion, culture, and identity into visual form. What Yard Mas has built in such a short time is nothing short of extraordinary — a community connected by creativity, culture, pride and vibes. I designed for the band for the first time this year but I’ve worked with the members in various capacities in the past and I can’t wait for the “yardies” to see what our slate of designers have created for 2026!”

Dania Beckford (@dpublicist), Public Relations Director, Yard Mas Carnival, also endorsed the team’s decision of appointing Anna as Creative Director.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
