I was surprised and delighted to be speaking with @anthonydimieri and @butlikesrsly of @meltedsolids - aka Mayor Mamdani’s former campaign team who won a @thewebbyawards award for the famous #halalflation video on YouTube or as they put it in describing how they turbo charged a political campaign “We’ve unleashed the Beast!”

The recipe for a great, now-super-famous political campaign, is showing something real, maybe imperfect, but honest. It started with @subwaytakes and @kareem, and it continued with the mayoral race for NYC ending with @zohrankmamdani victory. We are glad to host director @anthonydimieri in conversation with @simonasiri on May 12th. They will discuss new ways to film a story, The Bronx, Italian Americans in cinema and, of course, our Mayor.
