I’ve been apart of skateboarding culture since the age of 10-11yrs old. It’s something that will forever remain apart of the fabric which has helped and shape me as a human being.

The back drop story of this video (which was shot a couple years ago) goes as follows: One night as I was heading home, I noticed a pack of kids skating together.It immediately caught my attention and instantly brought be back to those times when I use to be spending the whole afternoon and night skating around with my neighbourhood friends while trying to perfect tricks performed by our favourite skateboarders.

Besides everyone’s fav Tony Hawk, my favourite’s were Natas Kaupas, Danny Way and all the members of the
Z-Boys (the founders and creators of skateboarding culture). I decided to pull my phone out and noticed only at that moment something special. The individual leading the pack was a female.

This essence of inclusion within the culture was something that I had to capture. The remaining shots was from a festival called “Skate Fest” that happens once a year in the summer. The narration for the video was a clip I used for a Freestyle I did called “VaNs” off my Mixtape also entitled “North Holllywood (which was a lead up to the release of my album)
