Artbug is pleased to present works by Roberto Tostado, Miguel Casco, Vanessa Zarate, Carlos Rittner, and Chicome Itzcuintli at Future Fair, Booth U12.
Bringing together painting, neon, symbolic systems, and contemporary figuration, the presentation opens a dialogue between the body, memory, technology, and historical imaginaries. Across different visual languages, the booth considers how images are constructed today: as sites of appearance, transformation, mythology, and cultural friction.
From pictorial matter and intervened figures to light, ornament, and Mesoamerican iconography, the selection brings together practices that approach the image as a field where bodies, symbols, and fictions continue to be negotiated.

Studio Visit - @Roy.Dowell
“Dowell’s commitment to gathering and combining images is at the heart of his practice. The disparate qualities of collage and assemblage are rendered in acrylic paint on linen over panel. From early in his career, the artist has engaged with a layering of diverse and scattered references from all over the world, both iconic and personal, working and reworking his materials until they are remade into something with visual impact. His use of color, pattern, folk motifs, and design elements, all with the presence of a handmade and open touch, stems from an appreciation and interest in world cultures and self-taught arts.”

Saturdays 2-5 and by appointment
THE DEVOURING TERRITORY
Opening Reception March 14th, 6-10pm
Closing Event April 4th, 2-5pm
The Devouring Territory brings together nine artists bound by an attachment to painting in plein air. While the selected works are primarily studio pieces, they are shaped by sustained encounters with the landscape. Rather than direct transcriptions, these images emerge secondhand – digested, remembered, and renegotiated. Nature often appears not as a fixed subject but as something absorbed and reconstituted through time, sensation, and the interior space of the studio.
Participating artists:
Sarah Granett @sarahgranett
Amanda Mears @amandamears.studio
Carl Baratta @carlbaratta
Alicia Cheatham @alicheat
Anthony Prud’Homme @awprudhomme
Lisa Bahouth @mousemaux
Elizabeth Wild @elizwild

Curator Steve Galindo, aka @thestyleguyde presents his latest curatorial project titled Re-calentado at the ArtBug Gallery @artbugallery in Downtown Los Angeles.
Re-calentado is a Spanish word that means to reheat, where the joy of family celebrations extends one more day.
ArtBug Director Carlos Rittner and Curator Steve Galindo reignite their CDMX Art Week roster of artists in a re-heat for Los Angeles’ Frieze art weekend.
In the tradition of cultural exchange between sister cities, new and previously presented works echo the Mexican tradition of reuniting, reheating, and reigniting after a celebratory party to finish leftover bacalao or romeritos. In this instance, the pillars of family, tradition, and sustainability meet in strengthening free cross-cultural border relationships.
This celebratory exhibition brings together artist and patron within the unifying force of community and cross-cultural exchange in Los Angeles.
ArtBug is a collective of artists that bridges Los Angeles, Mexico, Berlin, and beyond, fostering collaboration, experimentation, and mutual support for contemporary art and culture. Through exhibitions, exchanges, and artist-led initiatives, ArtBug is dedicated to building inclusive platforms that amplify creative voices, encourage dialogue across borders, and cultivate long-term cultural relationships within its collaborative cities.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories.
