The story of artist Tedo Rekhviashvili’s highly fascinating, principled, and significant struggle:

I am happy to be participating in the Venice Biennale 2026, and I would like to tell you the story of how I came to be here.
I received an offer to take part in the pavilion of another country — one that was participating in the Biennale for the first time this year. That country turned out to be Nauru, a state that, in 2009, recognized Abkhazia and Samachablo — integral parts of Georgia, currently occupied by Russia — as independent countries. At first, I was disappointed and even prepared a letter of refusal.
After a long period of reflection, I decided to use this strange coincidence in the opposite way. I requested a video call with the curators and proposed that I would gladly participate in their pavilion if they agreed that I could work only on the theme of Abkhazia and from my own context. The curators liked the idea, supported me, and within a week I signed the contract. A month later, it was decided that my work would be the first piece in the pavilion.
The work, “The Sea That Remembers” — is a symbolic shell that preserves the history of Abkhazia, the sound of the sea, and the sound of war. It is a shell as a symbol of home and eternity, an object of constant return and listening.
I covered the sculpture with sunny landscapes, green scenery, and blue sea views — the way Abkhazia probably still remains in our memory. The materials are expanded polystyrene, plaster, and Guerra paint, which, for me, gives the surface a tempera-like, almost fresco-like character.
The idea of the work does not involve any deep philosophical exploration. In my view, what turns it into an object of contemporary art is its political-conceptual dimension. From the very beginning, I wanted it to be clear and simple — like a manifesto and a protest. Its conceptual axis is based on the principle of the “Trojan horse”: the voice of one artist inside the Nauru Pavilion, so that from within Nauru’s space I could speak about Abkhazia, Georgia.

Today, in the National Gallery, I hung a 'Zebra' right beside Pirosmani’s 'Giraffe.' The Giraffe stands as a metamorphosis of grand creation. Do you want to know why I did it?

Because this is the exact degradation that some Georgian artists are currently enduring. Many artists have either sold out or simply fallen silent, choosing to say nothing about the reality unfolding around them. Perhaps that is why we Georgians love Pirosmani so deeply because he captured the social life around him.

Why did I hang it in the National Gallery next to Pirosmani? Because there is no comparison more striking than when the authentic and the degraded hang side by side; next to the original, the decay becomes undeniable.

Why a Zebra? That shouldn't even be a question anymore.

LIBERTÉ — Costumes in Exile

For the libertines.
For the decadents.
For the kind warriors of love.

For those who never surrender and never cease to make beauty.

For those who know that elegance may be rebellion, that desire may be philosophy, and that freedom is often dressed in costume.

For those who predict the future and gamble the centuries to come.

This exhibition is devoted to the exquisite courage of those who choose beauty over power.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
