This four-piece indie band from Chicago had already made a strong impression with their 2024 debut album, carrying forward the rich spirit of Midwest indie rock from the turn of the millennium: raw, cracked vocals, gentle and expansive string arrangements, and a sincere, emotionally charged vintage indie texture.

On this follow-up, Friko fully amplifies their dramatic indie aesthetic. The album also features contributions from several outstanding musicians, with hazy, tender string arrangements and refined production adding new depth to the band’s emotional expression.
