Bakehouse Art Complex
We provide studios, infrastructure, and community for artists at every stage in their careers 🤝
The Bakehouse legacy is still being written, but do you know about the roots?
“Past” Exhibition brings together archival materials to celebrate 40 years of Bakehouse and how the institution became what you see today. Curated+Designed by Philip Lique [ @philip_lique ]
This installation is located in our Swenson gallery.
“Past” offers a look at how an abandoned bread factory became one of Miami’s first artist-run studio spaces, and 40 years later still being one of the few artist residency programs and public exhibition spaces for local Miami artists in the city.
More than one thousand five hundred artists have walked through bakehouse’s doors, shaping the cultural landscape we celebrate today.

We are excited to announce the 2026 Summer Open Cohort! 💫
For twelve weeks, selected artists will be utilizing the Audrey Love Gallery as a communal artist studio and will have free access to shared art-making facilities. The program will also offer opportunities for creative and professional development through studio visits, networking events, and more. The program is designed to support the practices of local artists by providing them with critical infrastructure and an opportunity to foster relationships and engage with the organization’s community of artists.
As opportunities for free studio space are exceedingly rare in Miami, this program helps fulfill a significant need for artists in the area. The initiative expands on the organization’s mission to address the need for affordable workspace for artists in Miami’s urban core.
We’d like to thank this year’s jury, René Morales, Senior Curatorial Fellow at Bakehouse; Iris Colburn, Associate Curator at MFA Chicago; and Amanda Sanfilippo-Long, Director of South Florida Cultural Consortium and Curator of Miami-Dade Art In Public Places; who generously provided their time and expertise in selecting this year’s cohort.
✨Congratulations to:
Dona Altemus [ @donaaltemus ]
Lucia Aquino [ @lucia_0.1_ ]
Jevon Alexander Brown [ @novej.studi0 ]
Agua Dulce [ @_agua.dulce_ ]
Anthony Magnetti
Jonathan Melo [ @jmeloo.o ]
Leticia Sánchez Toledo [ @leticiasanchez.artist ]

We’re excited to introduce a new series of Artist Highlights, offering a closer look at the practices, ideas, and trajectories of Bakehouse artists through one-on-one interviews.
To kick things off, we’re featuring two artists with compelling solo exhibitions currently on view in Miami— each engaging memory, material, and personal history in distinct and fruitful ways.
🌟Luján Candria
Miami-based Argentine artist Luján Candria ( @lujancandria ) works across a wide range of media to create introspective works that explore memory, reminiscence, and oblivion. Luján often uses the repetition and juxtaposition of images to create intimate and poetic narratives imbued with nostalgia.
Luján has been a resident artist at Bakehouse since 2021. To experience more of her work, visit her studio here at Bakehouse, or see Still More Fragile, her solo exhibition currently on view at Faena Art ( @faenaart ) through May 3.
🌟Sterling Rook
Miami-based artist Sterling Rook ( @sterlingrook ) works across sculpture and fiber, using materials such as forged steel, handmade rope, and organic elements to explore ancestry, craft, and material memory. Drawing from a lineage of textile and fiber traditions on both sides of his family, Rook approaches art-making as both a generative and regenerative process, connecting personal and cultural histories across time.
Sterling currently has work on view at Tunnel Projects ( @__tunnel ) as part of his solo exhibition Shupingagua , on view through Saturday, April 25. Don’t miss this last opportunity to experience the exhibition!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
