Thank you to all who joined us since we opened & found a little fun & pleasure in what we do. At just shy 18 months it already feels like it’s been one helluva journey & so many of yall have been with us since day dot ❤️

When folks have asked what kind of bar we are we’ve always said ‘not not an Irish bar, not not a gay bar, not not a mid west bar’ bc as opposed to being stuck as one thing, we wanted to have a space that could grow & let all who join find their place amongst it want to come back again and again.

Bar Snack in New York wins the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award 2026.

Created by bartender Iain Griffiths, this welcoming neighbourhood hangout comes with a slick, seventies-inspired vibe and a menu designed to surprise and delight in equal measure. Built on the premise of creating “dressed-up classics for dressed-down people”, this is not the place to come if you want highfalutin serves poured by white-jacketed bartenders. This, instead, is the place to be for unpretentious service, inventive drinks in all shapes and sizes – think mini snaquiris all the way up to pitchers of seasonal house daiquiris for the table – and bar food so good it’s become a thing of local legend.

Claim a burnt orange vinyl chair at the curved, neon-laced lacquered bar and order yourself a signature frozen starter such as the Mama Tried (strawberry, yuzu and matcha blitzed with mezcal into a smack-you-in-the-face refreshing sorbetto), and follow it up with something equally cryptic or quirkily named such as the Salad Negroni. The most popular bar snack to accompany your drink? The bar’s take on an Irish Spice Bag, which combines fried chicken, fries and peppers, all served in a branded bag with curry sauce.

A lot of love (and a lot of takes) went into the new Seasonally Adjusted section where the team get to flex their creative muscles 🫶 Come try one while we get the real reels edited up 😘

Neeeewwww menuuuuuu 😍🥳🥹 we kept the favs, added a v sl00ty burger (more on that later) & the new drinks include the first from the team 🫶

But if we’re talking patio snacks (and we def are with this weather😎), these Gilda Olives with a banana pepper & anchovy creme filling with a mountain of wafer thin shaved ham, pickled celery & everything seasoned ciabatta are already favs

Our constant love of splicing something special & lesser known into a classic really shines here. We’re working with Pommeau (Calvados’ lower abv and sweeter sister) but then build that up with some bonded rye & then let the real star of the show, a big ol’ whack of @aberfeldy 12 delicious single malt shine on thru ✨

And as always, if that’s all a bit much for you, you can add a dram to your pint bc sunshine in a glass is hard to beat
