With all the Michael love and appreciation getting thrown around, I thought it appropriate that I tip my hat to the Baddest of them all. My dear friend Jaafar. I know it’s not my place to say I’m proud of you, but I am, we all are. Proud and impressed and privileged to have taken this journey with you. For Carla, Christien, Ken, Lillie and myself it was an honor to be your ‘Looks’ team and we treasure each and every day. You handled 120 days, approx 270+ hours in the makeup chair with the patience of a saint and were always gracious, kind and considerate of our time and efforts. For a first time actor, you set a standard that all should follow. Cheers my friend. 🙌🙌🙌 #praise #michaeljackson #makeup #hair

#mothersday Appreciate post. Why are the girls and I are grateful for @odilecorso Could it be because she’s kind? Always thinking about everyone else’s needs before her own? Perhaps because she spends the majority of her time doing things to help others? Maybe because she cares deeply for everyone she knows, family, friends, every animal she comes across? Or maybe because she finds joy and laughs hard at the silliest things? Or Maybe, just maybe, because God was kind enough to bless us with her? 🤔yeah, all that… and more….. #mom #mother #wife #appreciation

Shout out to my Prosthetic partner in crime on Michael, Christien Tinsley @tinsleymua When I did my very first tests on Jaafar in 2022, my dear friend Andy Clement and his studio helped life cast Jaafar and generate the first prosthetics for me. By the time we got around to the second set of camera tests, Andy was knee-deep in producing all of the prosthetics for Deadpool & Wolverine, which he has done for me on all three Deadpools. It was at this point I thought about bringing in my friend Christien to handle the prosthetics for us. He and his studio have a reputation for high end prosthetics, specializing in his patented Tinsley Transfers 3-dimensional prosthetics and tattoo transfers. Not that we would be utilizing either of those much on this project, but I admired Christian‘s eye for detail and his work ethic. On most shows I’ve sculpted most of the prosthetics myself, but on Michael I knew I wanted a better eye than my own to dbl check me and take what I blocked out to the next level. Christien and his team did just that. When I came up with the concept design for Coleman Domingo’s Joe Jackson makeup, Christien sculpted that makeup and tested it on Coleman ( with the assistance of @momeinhart ) and it blew everyone away. We continued to utilize his genius throughout the show and he continually helped raise the bar of all our work. Thank you partner. 🙏🏻 The above photo is one of the many internal tests Christien and I did on Jaafar months before shooting began to test different sculptures of appliances, in this case, nose and chin. No Hair, just testing for texture and movement. Far the final, but fun to see the progression.#makeup #prosthetics #makeupfx #teamwork

Who’s BAD, Hair Designer Extraordinaire @farmercarla 😉#hair #hairstylist #wigs #michaeljackson and of course Jaafar 😉 That goes without saying …..

Shooting on May the Fourth be like….#maythe4thbewithyou #michael #michaeljackson #starwars @michaelmovie 😉👍

In June of 2022’ my good friend Valerie Sharp called me from her then new post at Lionsgate Studios to tell me that they had just acquired the Michael Jackson movie for US distribution and that it’s Producer, the Academy award-winning Graham King, had questions and concerns about Make Up and would I be available to chat with him. Naturally, being a huge Michael Jackson fan from my childhood I said it would be my honor. I met Graham and his Producing partner Lydia @silverlyd for lunch and we discussed the potential complications of taking one Actor through the various stages of Michaels life. It was at this point that I shared my love of all things Micheal, specifically when I was a teenager as I was 14 when Thriller debuted. Coincidentally a week earlier, a high school friend had shared a photo with me on Instagram of my 15 yr old self and my friend Danny( Ramos) who looked incredibly like MJ, and would dress up like Michael at school. My father had a friend who owned a limo, seeing an opportunity we took Danny and drove him around town, all the while he would wave to the crowds with his sequined glove.Call it fate….It was upon showing this photo to Graham that he decided I was the right person to do the make up for the film. Shocked and flattered, I replied I wasn’t sure if I was the best person for the job, to which Graham replied, “you care about Michael and you will make sure that it’s done right and that’s what I want on this film. It’s important to me to populate the crew with people that love Michael and will pay his legacy the proper tribute and respect.” And that’s exactly what we all tried to do. So thank you Valerie 🙏🏻Thank you Booker High School VPA and thank you Danny for being my friend way back then 🙏🏻If you would’ve told that 15-year-old me that this would be my future, I guarantee you I would’ve passed right out. Second pic is Danny at our Jr. prom dancing with one of my high school best friends @liisalee #michaeljackson #highschool #friends #dreamscometrue @gkfilms @lionsgate @babssolvang

Where would we be without FRENDS. This felt like a perfect time to pay a little thanks to the one institution we can’t do without, the Make Up supply house. I moved to Los Angeles in 1985. At that time the big three were Columbia Stage and Screen Cosmetics located at the Gower Studios which just happened to be where I was attending the Joe Blasco Center, Cinema Secrets in Burbank owned by the incredibly generous and kind Maurice Stein 🙏🏻RIP and finally Frends Beauty Supply, at that time located on Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood. These were where the Hollywood Makeup elite shopped. Each one was wonderful in their own way and each one had a point person for industry artists. At Columbia it was Doris, at Cinema it was Maurice and at Frends it was Naimie( Sig Frends had long since retired when I arrived) Naimie then left to open up his own fabulous shop, followed by Nigel, who left to open up his own store. By then Frends was owned by Ed Esper and his wife Jamal and ran by them and their children, Paul, Brian, George, John and Christina. And they did everything they could to be gracious and respectful to their clientele. Over the years I’ve done my best to spread the wealth, but Frends is my home. To say that they treat me like a member of the family would be an understatement. From Ed constantly feeding me desserts to the boys going above and beyond to make sure that I was always taken care of. Working in our business is hard enough, but when you have a support team like this, it makes the impossible things we do all the more possible. Thank you to all the distributors who helped us on ‘Michael’ but especially to my Frends family, thank you for always taking that extra step for me and my teams throughout the years. Cheers 🍾🥂 #makeup #store #family #team

Thriller Night 1… The first and only day/nightChristien, Carla and I were able toput Jaafar through the works as a Zombie. Only doing it once, there are definitely things I would change if I had the opportunity …Rick was kind enough to tell me the exact Aqua color he mixed with castor oil to make the rubber mask grease paint foundation. The appliances were foam latex, exactly as Rick used on the original. I had color corrected set photos of the original Makeup to make sure the color was accurate, but of course in 41 yrs, changes in lighting, digital vs analog, things never quite match up. There are certain details I would’ve loved to change, tweaks in my sculpture, coloring and shading. But what can I say, for our one shot at it, it came out pretty cool. #thriller #michaeljackson #makeup #makeupfx

Thriller comes to life. #MichaelMovie – NOW PLAYING in theaters & IMAX: link in bio.

Without question, one of the highlights of my career was recreating the makeups for Michael’s iconic video Thriller, surpassing that if possible, was being able to portray the great Rick Baker during our Thriller BTS sequence. I was 9 yrs old when I came across the making of 1976’s King Kong paperback with photos of a young Rick Baker sculpting all of the Kong heads and I became obsessed. I immediately sculpted gorilla faces onto all of my G.I. Joe’s. Then came Starlog magazine with the Incredible Melting Man cover, then Star Wars and that cantina sequence…. But it was American Werewolf and then The Making of Thriller that I guess you could say my obsession and idolization of Rick Baker kicked into overdrive. My entire family knew the name Rick Baker better than my own as often as I spoke of him, joking, maybe one day I’d get to meet him. ☺️I’ve since been lucky enough to work for Rick on 6 of his films, one of which, Click, he even stepped off the Oscar nomination ticket so I could be on it. So you can imagine my thrill, being able to invite him ( and his family) to set the night we shot Thriller, seeing him crack up when he saw me dressed as him, seeing the A-team of make-up artists Christien and I assembled for the dancing zombies, and finally, hanging out on set and watching our recreation. Everyone was ‘thrilled’ that he was there. Our director Antoine, Producer Graham King, D.P. Dion Beebe and Jaafar were all excited to take a picture with him, which I think he got a big kick out of. Which just goes to prove that sometimes the superstars are not always in front of the camera. Thanks Rick, I wouldn’t be here without you…and ‘here’was pretty great😉🙏🏻 #rickbaker #makeup #thriller #michaeljackson

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
