Today is May 24th — the date I’ve been saying for months: “Let’s just get to May 24th and everything will be okay.” And guess what… we made it. 🌸

I can honestly say it’s taken blood, sweat and tears to get here. The last few weeks have been some of the most challenging and testing times as a grower. Not everything has gone the way I’d planned, and that’s hard to take when you’ve poured hours upon hours of work into something. But there’s always something to learn, and we can’t wait to share more with you soon.

The team have truly held the fort and kept everything ticking over while I took a week away — although I was still awake at 4am every morning talking to them 😂. Can you believe I haven’t been on a plane in 9 years because of the business? The timing felt awful… but it was all for a very special reason: doing the flowers for my sister-in-law’s wedding in Colorado, which was a challenge in itself and such an honour.

Over the last two weeks, the team have kept the field going — watering, delivering, sorting weekly bouquets, farewell flowers, and a whole lot more behind the scenes.

So, a huge thank you to the team for carrying everything whilst I stepped away for a moment. I couldn’t do any of this without you all 🤍

The last couple of weeks have felt heavy.

Juggling everything, putting pressure on myself, and getting upset when things haven’t quite flowered how I imagined.
And if I’m honest, comparison hasn’t helped — Instagram can make it so easy to feel like you’re behind and that everyone else is selling everything and being so successful.

But I’m trying to shift that.

I feel so lucky to work in two industries where I’m constantly inspired by the women around me — flowers and the performing arts. Before working in them, I had a lot of misconceptions, but I’ve learned that both industries truly encourage, support, and motivate women to reach their full potential.

I might not always feel “cool,” but both spaces have welcomed me and made me feel like I belong. I’m so grateful that I get to spend my days surrounded by such strong, talented, and inspiring women.
