I never have time to argue with anyone because I am doing mental gymnastics 24/7 😜 jk but is this you during open gym?

Sometimes you can even catch me “marking” real life or using sound affects as nouns IRL 🤺(I had an ex that really found this dehabilitating) 🤡! But I do this in traffic sometimes when I’m overstimulated and I saw a #reel yesterday on my pole account that mentionined cognitive reserve so perhaps we can take 5 minutes to expand:

1️⃣ According to Harvard Health Publishing, the concept of cognitive reserve originated in the late 1980s, when researchers described individuals with no apparent symptoms of dementia who were found at autopsy to have brain changes consistent with advanced Alzheimer’s disease. These individuals did not show symptoms of the disease while they were alive because they had a large enough cognitive reserve to offset the damage and continue to function (LeWine, Howard E., MD. “What Is Cognitive Reserve” Harvard Health Publishing, 16 Dec. 2025, https://www.health.harvard.edu/mind-and-mood/what-is-cognitive-reserve)

2️⃣ So how do we build cognitive reserve? Harvard’s suggests beginning with a plant based diet but if you’re a foodie like me maybe you enjoy reading or puzzles? Other sources site those who have more social careers such as team managers or in sales get to flex their interpersonal skills which lights up our prefrontal cortex. We need all three to regularly feed the reserve.

3️⃣ Only dance forces us to adapt— combining social (emotional expression), breath, rhythm, and memory WHILE HAVING FUN + creating 🎨🪄

Not only does dance stimulate the prefrontal cortex to enhance cognitive flexibility but it also increases the feasibility and engagement of interventions due to its enjoyable and interactive nature (Kattenstroth et al., 2013; Hackney et al., 2024) #themoreyouknow🌈⭐️

Star Wars was a huuuuge common thread for my family growing up— bridging the connection between my brother, myself, and my father as sports or video games became king for @cristonamo 😂
Watching the Star Wars films together was always something everyone enjoyed in our family, so when our head of design was asked to attend the event, I of course thought THIS IS A DREAM 🩶 My entire department (comprised of 3 people lmao) all watched very closelyat what our PR dept would publish the Monday following the carpet— we were such fans of our head of design and celebrated her like a mother 😂 and I do still love this quote from her. And I truly loved the crepe that was chosen for the gown and makes me yearn for a time when things weren’t so complicated<3 this fabric came to us from Japan and the concept only came together because of partnership and integrity… something I don’t see so often in the board room nowadays but before I ramble on perhaps we can all take a page out of the Empire Strikes Back today<3
