It all started during the pandemic when everything was locked down, and there was no chance to go out of the country. Just like in quarantine, the quality time we got with ourselves makes us understand more about ourselves. So, the more I explore my country, the more I know who I am.

My name is Befalia. I’m living a good life and I want to share it with you.
I share my stories, memories, thoughts, and ideas through words, photos, videos, music, and dance movement. Sometimes I speak to you with other arts like paintbrushes and sewing needles.

Performing underwater at @asiadiveexpo Singapore 2026, alongside my friend DJ @siren.of.the.sea_ , was an unforgettable moment!
While guests enjoyed fine dining, my underwater performance was not only live but also displayed on the big screens 🫶🏻
Another proud moment represent Indonesia on international stages, especially wearing @seadivatails Bali mermaid tail edition 🩷

No one really knew how much I was holding in. but I kept showing up anyway.

This moment -performing underwater dance during the @asiadiveexpo in Singapore -
was more than just a performance for me.

It was an escape.
A place where everything went quiet… even just for a moment.

And in the middle of everything,
I was also reminded how lucky I am
to be surrounded by people who showed up for me when I needed it the most.

This April, witness an underwater performance where art, athleticism, and storytelling become one.

Mermaid @befalia, Indonesia’s ocean artist, professional mermaid, Founder of @DiveArtsAcademy Indonesia, and @seadivatails, will take the stage at @asiadiveexpo Singapore 2026.

A former dentist & professional-competitive dancer who chose the ocean, she has built a global career blending underwater dance, performance, and ocean advocacy.

✨ ADEX International Mermaid Champion 2023 (Open Group)
✨ Honored as Sea Queen of Indonesia in Miami
✨ Featured in Netflix’s MerPeople

As a @paditv Mermaid Instructor Trainer, Underwater Dance Instructor Trainer, and MFI Master Mermaid Instructor, she is not only performing, she is shaping the future of underwater arts.

She also serves as the National Director of @missoceanworld Indonesia and @miss_scuba_international Indonesia, and as the Director of @IndoMermaidChampionship and @PutriLautIndonesia pageant, bringing ocean advocacy and artistry to international platforms.

Through @DiveArtsAcademy, she has trained a new generation of mermaids and performers now competing and performing worldwide.

And now, she returns to the ADEX stage as a creator, and a storyteller.
