After four decades in this game… this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

Boxing has been my life. Not just what I do—but who I am.

From the long nights in the gym… to the bright lights on fight night… to the blood, sweat, and sacrifices that most people will never understand—this sport gave me everything.

But it also took everything.

This wasn’t an easy decision. It wasn’t made overnight. It came from a lot of reflection, a lot of conversations, and a lot of truth I had to be honest with myself about.

To every fighter I’ve worked with—you trusted me with your careers, your dreams, and your livelihoods. That’s something I never took lightly. We went to war together.

To the trainers—the backbone of this sport. The early mornings, the late nights, the grind nobody sees… I respect you more than words can explain.

To the managers and promoters—we’ve battled, negotiated, argued, built, and sometimes went to war on opposite sides of the table… but it was always about the business and the sport we love.

To the strength & conditioning coaches—you turned fighters into machines.

To the photographers and media—you captured moments that live forever.

To the commissioners and officials—you kept the structure and integrity of this sport intact.

And to the fans… the ones who show up, support, and keep boxing alive—you are the heartbeat of all of this.

This journey has been real. The wins, the losses, the politics, the loyalty, the betrayal… all of it.

I gave this sport everything I had. And it gave me a lifetime in return.

So today… I step away.

Not because I don’t love boxing—but because sometimes loving something means knowing when it’s time to let go.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this ride.

Every fight. Every deal. Every moment.

It meant more than you know.

Over 30 years in the sport of boxing and somehow people still don’t understand the most basic structure of this business.

There are FOUR LANES.

🥊 Boxers box.
📋 Managers manage.
🥋 Trainers train.
🎤 Promoters promote.

That’s it. That’s the whole system.

But every damn week somebody wakes up and decides they want to play every role in the sport like they’re the smartest guy in the room.

A boxer thinks he’s a manager.
A trainer thinks he’s a lawyer.
A promoter thinks he’s a messiah .
Some random clown🤡 thinks he’s all four.

And then everybody wonders why fights fall apart, contracts get fucked up, and fighters’ careers get mismanaged.

Because people don’t know their lane.

This sport isn’t complicated.
Egos make it complicated.

I’ve been doing this for over 3 decades and I’m honestly sick of watching people who don’t know shit about the business try to run the business.

If you’re a boxer — fight.
If you’re a trainer — train.
If you’re a promoter — promote.
If you’re a manager — manage.

Otherwise shut the fuck up and stay in your lane.

The undefeated American has quietly built an impressive résumé — and now sits at the top of the featherweight division as WBC Featherweight World Champion.
