Black Tech Saturdays
The World's Fastest Growing Innovation community fostering Belonging and Economic Mobility Through Intentional and strategic interventions
Most cities host tech events.
Detroit is building a culture.
And culture is infrastructure.
This weekend wasn’t louder.
It was sharper.
You could feel it.
No posturing.
No cosplay innovation.
Just builders. Shipping. Listening. Adjusting.
Larry Brinker didn’t give a quote.
He issued a standard:
“Say what you’re going to do. Do it. Protect the culture at all cost.”
That’s how ecosystems mature.
Darnell Adams reframed the narrative:
“This is a continuous door bringing more and more people to Detroit. The louder we are, the more people understand we aren’t playing around.”
Translation:
Detroit is not emerging.
Detroit is executing.
And Alexa gave the builder’s law:
“Fail fast and shift quickly.”
Because speed is not chaos.
It’s responsiveness.
What changed this weekend?
The room felt inevitable.
Founders weren’t asking if they belong.
They were refining how they win.
Vendors weren’t hoping for exposure.
They were circulating capital inside culture.
The audience wasn’t consuming.
They were calibrating.
This is what happens when belonging evolves into discipline.
When vibes evolve into velocity.
When community evolves into coordinated action.
You don’t build ecosystems with inspiration alone.
You build them with standards.
And the standard just went up.
This wasn’t a recap.
This was a signal.
The operating system upgraded.
Detroit tech culture is no longer proving it exists.
It’s proving it scales.

I became part of the Black Tech Saturdays community back when it was just a few of us in the room with big ideas and even bigger belief.
Watching that vision grow into a movement that continues to open doors for founders, creatives, and people across tech is something I’ll never take lightly. BTS has always built more than programs they’ve built real community, real access, and a space where people feel seen, supported, and challenged to think bigger about what’s possible.
Honored to continue the journey as 1 of 20 founders in the BTS × Michigan Central Cohort.
Grateful to BTS for believing in my vision from day one.
We’re building it. 🚀

WHOA, WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES! The future of venture capital will belong to the people bold enough to build new rooms instead of waiting for access to old ones. Females in Funding, that shift was happening in real time.
Inside @michigancentraldetroit, Femology brought together more than 100+ women founders, investors, family offices, funders, ecosystem leaders, CDFIs, and capital partners, and the energy in the room felt undeniable. There was a moment looking across the space where it became incredibly clear that women do not lack ambition, innovation, intelligence, or scalable ideas. What has been missing is proximity to capital, influential networks, and ecosystems intentionally designed for expansion.
For years, the venture world has repeated the statistic that women receive around 1% of venture capital funding, but numbers without context hide the real issue. The problem was never capability. The problem was infrastructure.
We are building environments where relationships form before opportunities are needed, where founders and investors meet earlier, where women stop building in silos, and where access becomes something tangible instead of aspirational.
You could see investors meeting founders they should have known years ago. You could hear conversations turning into collaborations in real time. It felt less like networking and more like momentum finally catching up to the talent that has always been here.
We are no longer waiting to be included and this proves that.
THANK YOU to every founder, investor, speaker, partner, and community leader who helped make the night what it was. Something shifted in that room, and everyone there felt it.

6.12.26 — SAVE THE DATE 📸🎥🚀
Some dates become more than dates.
They become reminders of grace, purpose, resilience, and the beauty of continuing to walk by faith.
Last year, June 12th was supposed to be Shawn’s 50th birthday celebration. We had reserved the shelter at Belle Isle, sent invitations, and planned a day full of love, laughter, music, and 80’s vibes.
But two weeks before the celebration, everything changed.
We found out we were pregnant.
Then shortly after, we were told they could not find a heartbeat.
A follow-up appointment was scheduled for June 12th — Shawn’s birthday — to determine if the pregnancy was viable. What was meant to be a celebration became one of the most emotional moments of our lives.
Still, I wanted the day to remain filled with love because no matter the outcome, we knew we were blessed. The photos you see are from the surprise 80’s-themed photoshoot I planned for Shawn with childhood friends and family after we left the appointment — memories we now hold even closer to our hearts.
Then at 9:30 AM, on Shawn’s 50th birthday, we heard her heartbeat.
Grace.
God’s grace.
That moment changed us forever.
This June 12th, we continue that walk in faith as we officially launch Lee Media House — built on elevated storytelling, intentional visuals, and impactful experiences.
This is more than merging businesses.
This is legacy.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, prayed for, and believed in us throughout this journey.
RSVP opens Tuesday for those who would like to celebrate with us on June 12, 2026. Space is LIMITED.
With HEART,
Shawn Lee & Tay Lee

With HEART,
Shawn Lee & Tay Lee

went to a networking event and barely networked 😭
usually I’m talking about Therapy, BGSL, passing out cards, connecting… but this time I really just enjoyed being there.
and honestly? sometimes being in the room is enough.

Some events you attend. Some events you invest in. Femology was the latter.
Real founders. Real venture capitalists. Real exchange. No pretension, just women who love Detroit, love each other, and are serious about growth.
The kind of room where people are open. Where information flows freely. Where you leave with clarity, not just a business card. Whether VC money is your path or not, you walked out of that room ready.
And yes there was a theme. You already know that had me.
If you’re building something and you haven’t found your room yet, keep looking. It exists. Yesterday reminded me of that.

What it looks like when people show up to build.
At our collaborative event with Black Tech Saturdays, founders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and Detroiters came together to share ideas, make connections, create real opportunities, and celebrate the city’s future.
This is Detroit’s builder ecosystem in real time. People learning, collaborating, and building community together.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
