I woke up around 2AM to capture my first total lunar eclipse.
In contrast to the spectacular, concentrated, visceral event that was 2024’s total solar eclipse, this was a very easygoing experience. Totality lasted over an hour (in contrast to the slim 4 minutes of the solar eclipse).
Focusing the camera lens was more of a challenge, and the moon’s orbit around the earth was a challenge for extended shutter release and sharpness.
A beautiful sight, I’m glad I sacrificed some sleep to capture a few images of this eclipse.
