I'm so excited to launch a new free open-sourced MediaPipe plugin for TouchDesigner that I worked on in collaboration with @domisjustanumber.

Currently it supports face, hand, pose and object tracking with multi-person face detection, object detection, and image segmentation / background removal. Genuary Day 16: Order and Chaos

I wanted to see what would happen if I ran object tracking with my new YOLO plugin for TouchDesigner. I tracked objects from two video feeds and let each feed paint layers from the other. Eventually, it became Bird Paints Car Paints Bird. Hope you enjoy my silly experiment.

Genuary Day 15: Invisible Object with Shadows

Had a lot of fun playing around, creating procedural stereographic projections with POPs. Took a lot of experimenting, and @sarv.vj’s new 360 Shadows for Point Lights ended up saving the day, making it work. The built-in shadows would clip before the light source could get close enough to the object to do a proper projection. Hand tracking done with the MediaPipe plugin co-created by myself and @domscott.art

I’ve been wanting to experiment with @josefpelz’s point relax tool and finally got around to it. I’m doing a weird workaround from SOP to distance field to POP with T3D, but it’s fun to have the levels of detail.

Got the #TouchDesigner to Minecraft integration working all thanks to @peterwhidden setting up a custom paper MC plugin that can accept voxel data over websocket. We also got it animating with POPs data as well.

Genuary Day 11 Prompt: Quine (a form of code poetry, it’s a computer program that outputs exactly its own source code)

Not really a Quine, but the input to this truchet pattern is a screen capture of the network that outputs the pattern. More of a recursive visualization, but still fun to experiment.
