Arts news, in two parts: Colorado’s first-of-its-kind law allowing artists to form corporations has been passed by the full General Assembly and now awaits Gov. @jaredpolis’ signature. BMoCA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Desmond as Artistic Director!

Desmond is a seasoned arts professional with more than twenty years of experience working with artists, developing exhibitions, and most recently leading public program development.

In her new role, she will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping BMoCA’s curatorial and programmatic future, guiding the museum’s artistic vision as it prepares to transition into its new home in North Boulder. Under her leadership, Desmond will advance the museum’s exhibition program and foster innovative public engagement, creating meaningful experiences that connect artists, ideas, and the broader community. She began her role at BMoCA on May 11, 2026.
