We would like to invite you to the book launch of VOITURE SAUVAGE :
“A stream of consciousness that does not ask for direction, but claims its right to passage nonetheless.”

For the past few months, we have been working together on creating an overview of Boris’ drawings that he makes continuously and impulsively. Drawn by the colours and shapes, they got together to create this book, that serves as a moment in time or an archive, guarding what has been made from 2020-2024. With an introduction by Allister Mees, this book is ready to be born and read. Besides the launch of the book, there will be new works by Boris on show.

We’ll raise a glass saturday night at 18h30.
Until then ♥️

I am very excited to invite you all to my solo-exhibition “MY CRAYON MADE ME DO THIS” ❤️‍🔥
Hosted and curated by the amazing @collagecollectief
This exhibition shows new work since my graduation that I am very curious to share with you all ♥️👀

‘The exhibition offers an overview of how drawing fuels Boris’s practice and how it can function as both a visual and political force. It unfolds as a dynamic constellation of memory,a space where drawing refuses to stay still.’

14 November opening 17:00-21:00
14 November afterparty @schmet.bxl
15 November 12:00-18:00
16 November 12:00-18:00

Boris Deben @borisdeben

Boris Deben (2002, Brussels, BE) is a multidisciplinary artist working across kinetic sculpture, drawing, installation and animation.
Using automatic drawing as a basis, he creates immersive imaginaries, presenting a multifaceted queer perspective of self-reflection and human-object relations.
Pulling reference from cartoons and found imagery, he liberates signs and symbols from their common understanding, and produces a vibrant and spontaneous visual language.
With a confrontational yet playful energy, the viewer is caught in a world where new social logics apply, “normal” human behavior and technological “advancement” is challenged.

At Rosa 7 you can peek into his shared studio with Laura Segala Ortoll, Stefano Melissa and Rita Borralho Silva.
He will present his workspace as it is in its daily usage as well as new drawings and sculptures.
His book Voiture Sauvage will also be for sale!

MISS BIG MOUTH 👄

Wood, metal, lightbulb, oil pastel, wood stain

Researching how objects can be tools for storytelling and how common objects can be ‘cartoonified’ to create a new embodiment.

I wrote a short slightly corny fable to go with the piece:

“As the town fell asleep, the fire was still sizzling.
The Pink Man climbed up the mountain, searching for a higher view of the light of day.
He climbed the highest mountain on the island.
the one that provided shade during the hot days and absorbed most of the rain in the rainy season.
The stars were shining bright, reflecting the light of day.
When he reached the top, he looked around to see if anyone was there.
There were only the stars watching him.
They were the sole witnesses.
He reached out with his arm, stretching all the way toward the light of day, and tried to steal it.”
“Miss Big Mouth, tell us more! Did he actually steal the light of day?”
“The story ends here, children. It is a mystery to us all whether the Pink Man actually did it.”
“I want to know the truth! Please tell me, Miss Big Mouth!”
“I Don’t know what happened up there… Only the stars do!!!.”

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
