These wild ones shattered the vessels with a devil’s winkle, Tom Wesselmann’s think full. Drinkfull thrown on the flames made the fire dance and pyre prance. Why r we here only for a wiry glance? Eyelashes lance.

Three of Brian Bellot’s “Neo neo-deco puff paintings” are on view in The Body is The Body through January 4.

Thurs. Oct. 23rd, 7pm, 205 Hudson Street, Hunter Galleries Whole Palm Spread: Rhoda Kellogg and the Biology of Finger Painting with Brian Belott & Jennifer Digioia
Rhoda Kellogg (1898-1987) was a psychologist and early-childhood educator and the director of the Phoebe A. Hearst Preschool Learning Center (which was a part of the Golden Gate Kindergarten Association, in San Francisco) for nearly three decades. Over the course of her lifetime, Kellogg amassed a collection of more than two million drawings by children between the ages of two and eight. Kellogg gained global recognition for her groundbreaking studies in children’s art.
Brian Belott has been widely shown for two decades internationally and has work in many prominent public and private collections. Throughout his career, Belott has playfully situated dissimilar objects, ideas and found oddities alongside one another in order to see what they might create. Belott’s artistic practice spans paintings, assemblage, music, performance, video, and a wholly separate project focusing on children’s art, supporting the research development and encouragement of children’s art through traveling shows and classes for children.
Jennifer DiGioia: This is Jennifer DiGioia’s 35th year in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has served on the boards of several affiliates of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, where she worked to increase awareness of the direct link between teacher retention and high-quality programming. For most of her career, she has been a member of Phoebe A. Hearst Preschool (San Francisco), designed and founded by Rhoda Kellogg. Her passion for Kellogg’s teachings touches every aspect of her community relationships and teaching practices.

happy (belated by a day) birthday to the mischief maker and multi-faceted artist @brianbelotti 🎂💣
in 2023, rvng put out sound scribbles, a collection of strange sounds and music that brian created as a companion to his signature and beloved scribbles / visual creations.
brian is a collector, with sources and influences ranging miles wide and leagues deep. it was a delight, if not a somewhat demented proposition, exploring this corner of his practice 🔥

Exhibition Announcement! Join us Saturday, June 28 5pm – 7pm at The Watermill Center for the opening reception of Upside Down Zebra, an exhibition curated by artist Brian Belott and Watermill curator Noah Khoshbin, in collaboration with early childhood specialist Jennifer DiGioia.
Spanning six indoor galleries, Upside Down Zebra features approximately 400 pieces of children’s artwork from the Rhoda Kellogg International Child Art Collection, presented alongside works by over 35 contemporary artists who directly engage with Kellogg’s archive. Through a wide range of approaches, these artists explore themes of unfiltered spontaneity, echoing ideas found in Kellogg’s research and collection. By curating historical pieces in dialogue with present-day responses, Upside Down Zebra highlights the enduring role of artistic play - celebrating the drip, smear, scribble, and open gesture as fundamental forms of creative expression across generations.
Two major outdoor installations will be unveiled on Saturday, July 26 during The Watermill Center’s annual Summer Benefit: ABETARE (2024) by Petrit Halilaj, originally commissioned for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Roof Garden Commission, and SUNRISE. East (2005) by Ugo Rondinone. Installed across The Watermill Center’s grounds, both works will be accessible to the public from dawn to dusk and will remain on view through February 2026. This long-term exhibition reflects the Center’s ongoing commitment to presenting visionary contemporary art in dialogue with its unique natural setting.
A series of talks, workshops, and interactive activities designed for audiences of all ages will occur throughout the exhibition’s run, furthering its mission to elevate and explore the significance of children’s art.
Upside Down Zebra is supported by Cadogan Tate @cadogantate , Phillips @phillipsauction , Duggal @duggalnyc , Paul J Herman, The Herget Family Charitable Foundation, Phoebe Hearst Elementary School Foundation, and the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development.

“sound scribbles is an ongoing accumulation of improvisations whose genesis is similar to singing in the shower or making a prank phone call. the structure of these songs meander like a kid’s made-up story – logic can about-face, and in an instant, turn on itself. humor, nonsense, and absurdity are loud, but sometimes the motoric, chanted pulses of these songs reveal a love of classical, modern classical, and extended vocal technique”

If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
