Lately I’ve been realising that a huge part of my work doesn’t actually start with “creating”.
It starts with becoming obsessed with something first 😜

Usually it begins very quietly, like a random sentence, a concept, or a colour. And I take a note on my phone. Usually it’s at night - yes, @masha_la_moves I have a little problem with my sleep but it will get better soon, promise!

Then suddenly I’m researching things like liminality, emotional participation, synesthesia, memory, identity, migration, the rivers that are under our cities, Mesopotamia (like for real) audience psychology or why certain spaces make people feel emotionally different.

Not because I’m trying to sound intellectual, but because I genuinely need to understand why certain ideas keep pulling at me before I can turn them into performances, workshops or music.

Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea of liminality for example. That strange emotional space between versions of yourself, places, identities.
Between who you were and who you’re becoming.

And honestly I think a lot of my work exists exactly there. I think people sometimes imagine artists are constantly producing things, but a huge part of the process is actually just learning how to stay curious long enough for ideas to slowly connect on their own.

This is basically what my “research days” look like lately. Does your brain also collect random concepts and emotional observations like little archive fragments or is that just me? 🤷‍♀️

What if you could see music? Not just hear it, but feel the colours, the shapes, and the textures vibrating in the air? Come to see it!
“Liquid Sounds” isn’t your average workshop. It’s a hands-on experience that dissolves the boundaries between art, music, and the people around you. We’re taking over Vaffancoffee for an hour and a half to dive into the world of synesthesia, a space where your senses mix, and music becomes a visual language.

The Details:
When: 28 May
Time: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Where: vaffancoffee
Bring: A song that means something to you. Everything else is provided.

Booking is open from our link on bio!

Swipe to see the whole story 👉

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about why art even matters anymore.

Especially now, when everything feels loud all the time and people are so emotionally disconnected from themselves and from each other.

I recently started reading *What Art Does* by Brian Eno and Bette A., and one idea stayed with me in particular:
that art doesn’t really come from one person alone.

It grows from people, shared emotions, community (even if it’s not my fav word! 😬) And somehow it also creates that community back.

I think that’s part of why my relationship with performance has been changing so much recently too.
I don’t really want to just “perform at” people anymore.
I want to create spaces where people can actually enter the experience with me and affect it somehow.

Maybe that’s what art is supposed to do after all.
Not impress us. Just remind us that we’re still capable of feeling things together.

I’d genuinely love to know: what does art do for you lately? 🌊

A selection of all my London shows during the years. Counting down the days to come back there ✨🇬🇧

2020 with RP quartet, 2022 Tate Modern, 2022 Bohemians, 2018 Camden Assembly, 2019 busking in Piccadilly Circus, 2019 Roundhouse, 2018 Estorick Collection Museum, 2022 Coffee Roasters, 2019 Camden Assembly again, etc etc etc! There are so many!

I’m heading back to the UK to bring the new music to life 🥹 After days writing and recording in the studio, I’m ready for the noise.

5 songs recorded, the EP (short album) is nearly there, and the guest list is growing. And to everybody on Substack, cheers for being the foundation of all of it! If you haven’t join the list yet, the link is in bio 👆

See you soon 👏

A few bits from busy weeks 🎧

I’ve spent time deconstructing the machine and rebuilding myself. Between professional and personal stuff, my brain has been confused and exhausted but also focused and always creating.

Random order:
Paintings, art sites explorations, Korean food, board games to keep my mind off bad things, gorgeous fashion creations, recording studio sessions, cacao ceremony, flowers from my garden and messy rehearsals 💘

Let’s make something together 🎨

The UK trip is officially 3 weeks away. And May 28th@liquidsounds_workshop is coming to London! 🇬🇧

I’m taking over @vaffancoffee a cosy coffee shop to host an intimate session on how I bridge the gap between painting and sound, how I enter my magic bubble.

You find the link in bio to join the session! I’m managing the guest list personally so just go and secure your spot 😎

P.S.: I’ve been reading your comments on Substack about the Spotify alternatives, thank you for not being shy! I’m answering to all of you right now ✨

In collaboration w/ @makeout.fyi

Day 2 recording the EP into a studio that’s hosted the likes of Raye, Placebo, and many more..you try to keep it cool.

But standing in front of those microphones, feeling the weight of the history in the room..I couldn’t help but get a bit emotional! 🥹

Raimund has been an incredible guide. We spent hours deconstructing sounds and sharing stories.

I’m sharing the full, messy, beautiful studio diary over Substack this week. Including some of the reference tracks we talked about.

The link to join the inner circle is in bio 👆

Do you have a song that makes you feel you’re finally “home”? Tell me which one in the comments ✨

Day 1 of recording other songs for the EP to come out with @hitmint_music veeeery soon 💪

Expectations: recording vocals for “Distance is home”
Reality: a low vibration from the construction site next door decided to become the lead instrument 😬

I spent my day warming up for a duet with a pneumatic drill. And the drill won. See you soon for round 2 🤣

I’m still buzzing from the @sofarsounds show at that stunning location…these pics are from the genius @ozzydozzie who somehow merged me with nature into something magical. The “Mirror” sing-along was deeply moving…I’m craving for more of that magic! The tech issues and transportation struggles were worth it for the memories that’ll last a lifetime 🫂

Thanks to all the people who joined and sang with me!

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
