✨ Wilson Hermanto @buffofalstaff — American conductor of Indonesian origin, Principal Guest Conductor of the Cameristi della Scala, Co-Artistic Director of the Vevey Spring Classic music festival in Switzerland @veveyspringclassicfestival.

He has worked with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken, Prague Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Cleveland Orchestra, Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne, NDR Radio Philharmonie Hannover, English Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre de chambre de Genève, Orchestre national de Lyon, Orchestre philharmonique de radio France, Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre de chambre de Paris, Orchestre national d’Île de France, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Baltic Opera in Poland, Sinfonia Varsovia, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre national de Metz, George Enescu Philharmonic, Philharmonisches Orchester Heidelberg, Argovia Philharmonic, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile, Mariinsky Orchestra, Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, Orchestra of Accademia del Teatro alla Scala and Schweizer Jugend Sinfonie Orchester.

Wilson Hermanto made his debut conducting a full stage production of Mozart’s „Don Giovanni” at the famous Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. As a former protégé of Pierre Boulez, Hermanto led the celebration of Maestro Boulez’s 90th anniversary in Geneva with the new music group Ensemble Contrechamps.

With a large repertoire encompassing the Baroque period until the music of our time, Wilson Hermanto worked with many renowned contemporary composers among others: Zygmunt Krauze, Bruno Mantovani, Jörg Widmann, Agata Zubel, Thuridur Jónsdóttir, Helmut Lachenmann, Giovanni Sollima, Magdalena Długosz, H.K Gruber, Matteo Franceschini, Enno Poppe, Teoniki Rożynek, Wojciech Błazejczyk and Lowell Liebermann.

It has been a great privilege serving as the Principal Guest Conductor of this wonderful chamber orchestra since 2017. Over the last 9 years, we performed many concerts together in Italy (including at Teatro alla Scala), France, Germany (including @elbphilharmonie), Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, Hong Kong, as well as twice in Romania @enescu_festival
We recorded a CD album of Beethoven and Mozart @claves_records which was released in 2024.

Many amazing soloists collaborated with the orchestra and I, including @maxim.vengerov @danielmuellerschott @francesco.piemontesi @veronikaeberle @gautiercapucon @alexei_volodin_seliverstov @babayansergei @pierregenisson @simontrpceski @giovanni_sollima @ericle.sage @davidfraypianist @carolinwidmannviolin @natalieclein @nils_moenkemeyer and others.

I very much look forward to our concert in the Duomo di Milano @duomodimilano later this year, the Bach Johannes Passion project in 2027 and many more projects in the future ☘️❤️

Louis gave excellent performance of Hindemith The Four Temperaments with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Teatro alla Scala @accademiascala @teatroallascala and Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 with the @cameristidellascala

My 1st musical collaboration with Louis went back quite some years ago in 2010 when we did Mendelssohn Concerto for violin, piano and strings and not so long ago in 2023 Louis performed Beethoven Piano No. 2 under my direction.

With Francesco we performed together Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 2 in 2022, certainly unforgettable moment making music with him…..more to come making music with Francesco and Louis in the future ☘️🥂❤️

The rehearsals with Veronika and Máté were full of joy sharing musical exchanges with the young musicians of the orchestra. In short, it was Mozart with full of layers of meaningful human feelings, passion and love, shared with the younger generation of talented musicians who are the future of our profession.
