Thank you to the entire administration team at Craft Contemporary, and especially to Rody Lopez for his vision and organizational brilliance in making this weekends event possible. I am honored and deeply moved to receive the Visionary Award. To be recognized by the Los Angeles arts community — a city I’ve called home and creative ground for 25 years — means more than I can say.

Throughout my journey, I’ve always sought out a community — a choir of minds more curious or knowledgeable than me — who were generous with their time and insight. People who helped feed, challenge, and inspire my relentless curiosity. I think of mentors like Pat O’Neill and his late wife Beverly, Jim Isermann, Lorraine Molina, Rosamund Felsen, Phyllis Green, Christine Heindl, and the late Michael Asher. So many artists guided me early on, offering teaching opportunities and a vision for what a life in the arts might look like — including Kim McConnell, Jean Lowe, and Joan Jonas.

Like many of my peers, I began in commercial galleries, committed to a singular vision of success. But I took a sharp turn. I created a parallel path — building an entrepreneurial ceramic design practice separate from my fine art — an alternative economy for myself and other artists. At the time, that split was necessary. The art world demanded it. But things have changed. Today, those boundaries are more fluid.

I want to remind us all of the humanness in choosing a life in the arts. My artistic goals — to be valued, respected, to have creative freedom, and to be in community — may be shared by many reading this. And in many ways, I’ve achieved those goals, even amid challenging circumstances. Our work in micro-manufacturing ceramics in Los Angeles hasn’t gone unnoticed. It’s meaningful. These lessons, even the hard ones, are markers of growth — and I meet them with grace, vulnerability, and transparency for those who work alongside me.

Continued in comments….please continue to read.

By now, you know we love to play with #marble.

For this Lower East Side lobby, we combined two of our favorites, Rosso Levanto and Breccia Capraia. One known for its rich, wine-toned depth; the other, for its dramatic veining and mosaic-like composition.

I’m leading a fun event @thefutureperfect LA - an Exquisite Corpse Clay event this Thursday (March 5th, 5-7pm)

Please join me, link in bio to RSVP ⬆️

Artists and designers from The Future Perfect LA community, alongside invited guests, will collaboratively create a series of ceramic figures. Working in rotation, each participant builds upon the evolving forms, resulting in uniquely layered works shaped by shared creativity. Guests can observe the process in real time as the sculptures transform with each new contribution. The finished one-of-a-kind figures will be auctioned to benefit the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund, supporting recovery efforts across California.

Lindsay Adelman now on view @thefutureperfect - a constellation of delight, precision, and whimsy.

Lindsey generously came over to the studio last week - connecting over decades in the design business. Wishing we both had met each other earlier to discuss running a large business while raising kids, operational systems, creative joys and all things micro manufacturing.

Cheers to this brilliant designer and artist - looking forward to many years of creative energy and long conversations.

JUGS at @thefutureperfect presents the water vessel as both ancient form and contemporary object. Installed in the previously private kitchen of the Goldwyn House in Los Angeles, the exhibition brings together singular works by international artists, tracing histories of utility, ritual, and material intelligence across time. Set within an intimate domestic context, the jug is reimagined as a site of experimentation, memory, and cultural meaning.

See my JUG beginning February 25 at The Future Perfect.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
