Thank you to everyone who attended “Fugitive Pleasures” last night at Gladwell Projects @gladwellprojects 130 Bay St. Jersey City, NJ.

There will be another opportunity to experience the performance, with dates to be shared soon. It was a true labor of love, an intense act of endurance and a slowing of grief.

Hope to see you at the next one.

Installation views of 𝙍𝙞𝙗𝙗𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙥 currently opened in all 3 galleries of the Saint Claude exhibition space @perrotin Paris.

I would like to share some background on the title. The two words were inspired by a gifted trans poet named @tc.tolbert in a poem titled “My Melissa.” I am grateful to this writer for their generosity in allowing readers like me to find solace and be seen through their resonant language.

Some further elaborations from my notes:

TC Tolbert, a trans and gender queer feminist poet—the poem seems to be in constant flux of contradiction, deception and conflicting allegory. The language in the poem shift between soft, hard, edges, social, political, organic, scientific and religious references.

I was looking for something that felt removed enough from the literal body but still harnessed the enveloped experience of walking in a “contradicting body” but not so overtly, so the speed and cadence of the poem has a consistent flow of conflicting subject matter that we as the viewer has to contend with and “ribbon-sharp” was a moment in there that felt opened and conveyed the same elements of the entire poem, but so casual—something smooth and delicate as a ribbon also being immediately perceived as a sharp blade or a razor in its shimmer and sleekness. It also speaks to a form of newness, unknown, gift exchange so there’s this transformative playfulness intertwined in anticipation. There is also the regal aspects to the bodies in the work and how they are vulnerable yet very centrally on display like a body of honor. Then there is the play of the ribbon evoking aspects of gender presentation and adornment.

Chiffon Thomas: Fugitive Pleasures @c.chronicles
On view through June 14 at @gladwellprojects | 130 Bay Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302

Fugitive Pleasures marks a major solo presentation by Chiffon Thomas, bringing together new and recent works that examine fugitivity, opacity, spirituality, and self-authored relation through sculpture and installation. Across the exhibition, stained glass, welded steel, silicone, embroidery thread, torched wood, and salvaged architectural fragments are transformed into speculative devotional structures that move fluidly between monument, reliquary, shelter, ruin, and body.

Installed within the raw industrial framework of the Arts & Powerhouse Building, the exhibition produces an environment that feels simultaneously sacred, destabilized, and deeply human. Light filters through fractured stained glass surfaces and rusted steel armatures while exposed seams, suspended forms, and collapsing architectures refuse fixed interpretation in favor of multiplicity, interiority, and continual becoming.

At once emotionally charged and architecturally commanding, Fugitive Pleasures positions Thomas as one of the most compelling sculptural voices working today.

Part of Six Artists. Six Floors. Six Solo Exhibitions.

NOW OPEN
Wednesday–Sunday, 12–6 PM
and by appointment, Mon-Tues.

Fade is now open @studiomuseum . I couldn’t be more proud, fulfilled and grateful to be in context with this group of incredible artists, the museum’s long standing legacy of “F” shows that have featured artists that I admire deeply and have paved the way for creatives like myself.

Thank you to Yelena, Jayson, Habiba, Adria and Kiki for your devotion and care around this exhibition and being amazing to work with and thank you to @thelmagolden for your leadership and trust.

The show is empowering and I hope you enjoy it.

🗣️ Hello! I’m teaching a one week sculpture course this summer @fineartsworkcenter titled: “What Shouldn’t Be”

If you have been itching to get your hands into some foundational approaches to sculpture building, this is the perfect 1 week workshop for you. The course is opened to all levels of creatives, we’ll cover armature construction, hand carving and power tool usage, additive and subtractive methods of building and I’ll be sharing knowledge/tricks I’ve gained from advancing my own sculpture practice with you.

My goal is to guide you through strategies for bridging/blending unconventional materials into a cohesive piece.

The workshop centers on how to bring materials and objects together that traditionally shouldn’t coexist and finding improvisational ways of making them belong.

You can register from the link in my bio or by visiting fawc.org

The course will take place from June 28-July 3, 2026

Opening Thursday | soul breaker
January 15 – February 28, 2026

We are pleased to present soul breaker, an exhibition bringing together the works of Ivana Bašić, Christopher Bucklow, Giulia Cenci, Hayden Dunham, Samuel Guerrero, Maria Fragoso Jara, Julie Maurin, Sergio Miguel, Jesús Hilario-Reyes, Giancarlo Montes Santangelo, and Chiffon Thomas, curated by Ken Castaneda (@k.e.n.c.a.s.t.a.n.e.d.a)

The exhibition soul breaker proposes a rupture: a cracking open that allows both release and reception. The eleven featured artists gather the fragments and explore how the soul is manifested and transformed through the act of making—rendering the intangible parts of human experience.

Introducing Chiffon Thomas (@c.chronicles ): the fourth artist in our NADA Miami spotlight series. Thomas’s Untitled, 2023 anchors our presentation — a sculptural form in which the body and architecture merge into a charged site of memory, rupture, and endurance.

Working across casting, stitching, burning, carving, and assemblage, Thomas understands the body as an architectural system — a structure where personal and historical pressures accumulate in uneven layers. Their sculptures operate through a logic of fragmentation and reconstitution: hydrocal, silicone skins, torched resin, charred burlap, and exposed armatures form hybrid infrastructures that hold both vulnerability and resilience.

In Untitled, 2023, two hands emerge from a scorched, collapsing shell. One extends outward in an open gesture; the other curls inward beneath an ash-coated membrane. This dual motion — offering and guarding — renders the figure as a threshold between tenderness and self-preservation. Architectural remnants cling to the form like residue from a razed home, merging bodily presence with the psychological architecture of domestic ruin.

Thomas’s work sits at the intersection of performance, sculpture, and architectural form. Their practice is shaped by a belief that identity is always under construction — rebuilt, ruptured, and reinforced across time. Rather than seeking resolution, the work holds multiple temporalities at once, revealing fragility not as weakness but as a structural element.

Thomas’s sculptures are held in the permanent collections of MCA Chicago, SFMOMA, MOCA Los Angeles, The Studio Museum in Harlem, the MFA Houston, the Dallas Museum of Art, ICA Miami, and more — marking them as one of the most significant sculptural voices of their generation.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
