Our Associate Artist, Pratha Nagpal, returns as CAAP’s resident new work doula. She’ll be shepherding our artists through two weeks of development and hosting us all on the night.

CAAP's New Work Fund will champion the development of new Asian Australian work by investing in exceptional artists creating bold and meaningful performance.

This special event will be a launchpad for the New Work Fund, garnering momentum hot on the heels of CAAP's recent successes. Guests will be treated to an exclusive music performance by @chunyinrainbowchan (The Bridal Lament), and joined by special guest @mrbenjaminlaw , over a delightful culinary spread curated by the team at @ladychu

CAAP: In Process is an opportunity for Asian Australian artists to develop performance work that hasn’t been presented before, and share it as part of our annual event on 4 June 2026 at Carriageworks.

Artists will receive a $500 presentation fee, access to 2 weeks of shared rehearsal space leading up to the performance, and dramaturgical, production and documentation support from the CAAP team. We’ll work with you on how best to support both your presentation and your work.

That’s a wrap on Ticket Club for this month!

On Friday, team CAAP headed to LACRIMA as part of @sydney_festival, taking an awesome group of artists and their non-artist plus-ones along to experience Caroline Guiela Nguyen’s monumental work.

So energising to see theatre of this scale on our stages and to experience it together.

We loved meeting new artists and diving straight into post-show chats.

Huge thanks to Sydney Festival for partnering with us on our pilot program across two shows.
