One of California Climate Action Corps’ goals is to create healthier, more fire resilient forests, so that both nature and our communities can thrive.
Forest bathing is the practice of immersing yourself in nature to support mental well-being. Whether it’s a slow, mindful walk outdoors or sitting in a forest. This Mental Health Awareness Month, take a moment to step outside and take it in.

They say ‘many hands make quick work,’ and our recent volunteer day proved exactly that.🤲🌱 Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to the Returning Our Roots urban greening event! 💚
A couple weeks ago, team lead, Saksen Hathaway facilitated her fellow-led volunteer event in partnership with @venturalandtrust where participants planted native plants and learned about how these plants have uniquely adapted to survive in Ventura’s mediterranean climate zone. These plants will welcome many generations of guests to the Ventura Land Trust visitor center and hopefully be joined by even more native species in the future.
A special thanks to @mininaturereserve and @samofund nurseries for their gracious native plant donations. Their plants helped expand the biodiversity of the space, providing guests with more species to see.

Third Grade Artists in Ms. Perez and Mr. Mullen’s classes made Earth Art with Ms Karolina, Ms Nalani, and Mr. Matt from the Garden Team/CCAC! Earth art is made using natural landscapes and materials to create site specific and often ephemeral works. Students learned about other earth artists such as Robert Smithson, Ana Mendieta, and Andy Goldsworthy. Then they all went to The Chill Zone to make their own temporary earth art works using native plants and materials and letting their imaginations guide them either individually or in groups. #calcreativetoday #3rdgradeartists #caclimateactioncorps #earthart #wearecreativelearning

Thank you to everyone who volunteered for our SLV Planting Party and campus clean-up as a part of Pitch-In’s All County Cleanup! 🗑️🌸🌊 Together, we picked up 400 pieces of trash and planted 40 native plants in an effort to help beautify Santa Cruz County! 🌱☀️ Click the link in our bio to see how you can get involved 🤩

On our May 8th workday, volunteers helped us care for the Hawk’s Nest Garden in a wide range of ways. To the TK students who snatched up all the trash in the garden with trash grabbers, the @lasbestexpandedlearning staff and students who helped us install and water in 20 new native plants, the @caclimateaction fellows and staff who collaborated on the event, and the parent volunteers who dug holes, engineered shade, supervised little ones, brought relatives, made pastries, hammered in new signage: thank you for helping us maintain this oasis.

What happens when an orchard with more than 150 trees is about to be removed for a restoration project? Offer Kindness shows up with 100+ amazing volunteers ready to rescue fresh fruit before it goes to waste.
Last Sunday was incredible🙌🏼
Volunteers climbed ladders for tangerines, reached through thorny lemon trees, stretched for blood oranges, and did it all with smiles on their faces. During our gleanings at Running River Ranch @riverparkwaytrust , we rescued more than 18,000 pounds of delicious fruit that otherwise would have been lost.
The best part? Within just one hour of the pick, the fruit was already being distributed to local community members. Seeing people come together to reduce waste and help feed others is what Offer Kindness is all about.
Thank you @caclimateaction for making every collaboration so much brighter! It was so much fun working together to reduce waste and bring the community together!
A little kindness goes a long way ☺️

Fellows Craig Short and Zoe Alamillo were featured in a recent article published by USC Annenberg Media detailing a unique urban greening project that their host site, the Theodore Payne Foundation has been involved with. 🌱
As a lead for the planting, Craig shared some thoughts on the project: “The Jefferson Test Plot was a really exciting project for me because it was an experiment. I helped to decide which native plants might do best in a seriously impacted urban site, which meant a lot of research and guesswork.”

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
Enter a public username to view or download stories. The service generates direct links for saving content locally.
