Cas Public [ @caspublic ], directed by choreographer Hélène Blackburn [ @helene_blackburn ] in collaboration with associate artist Cai Glover [ @caidpie ], is seeking dancers for its 2026–2027 season.
✨ ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The company tours extensively throughout Quebec, across Canada, and internationally.
👀 WHO THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Professional dancers with strong classical and/or contemporary technique
• Artists interested in partnering work & collaborative processes
• Performers with strong stage presence & physical capabilities
✨ PLUS:
• Pointe work experience is considered an asset
• Additional dance techniques are an advantage
⚠️ ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be:
• Canadian citizens
• Permanent residents
• Or hold a valid open work permit in Canada

🌸 PROGRAMMATION
On arrive sur les dernières présentations des compagnies professionnelles que le festival accueille cette année ✨
• Cai Glover, artiste malentendant, met en scène une chorégraphie saisissant les complexités des relations familiales, réfléchissant sur un être qui lui fait miroir, son frère jumeau et sur la volonté d’une mère.
Autour de ce spectacle le vendredi 15 mai, des ateliers d’initiations à la Langue des Signes Française et à l’histoire de la culture sourde sont proposés au Parc Abbatial à 10h30 et à 13h30.
Ainsi qu’une conférence de Christine Thomas, autrice du livre “Moi, Christine, fille de parents d’enfant sourd” à la librairie Le Jardin Secret à 15h30.
Vous pourrez aussi rencontrer Sophie Benoist de l’association APLSF de Chalon-sur-Saône qui tiendra un stand sur toute la journée du vendredi 15 mai.
Des gilets vibrants seront également proposés aux personnes qui souhaitent en disposer sur toute la durée du festival. Vous pouvez en réserver un à accueil@festivalclunydanse.com
