Late last Summer @joeljcook and @timmctague brought me this new UO record... Needless to say I was blown away. Not just from this song, but from all the music yet to come. (Just wait for the rest of it... it’s insane) We took the time and came up with this crazy idea. The only way it would work is if friends like @david_conk and @ericlinden were willing to come on board and lend us their incredible talent. So somehow we were lucky enough they said yes and a few weeks later there we were with our crew, deep in the forest, well past midnight setting @dianastunts and @aastunts on fire.

New video out for @official_neontrees AND today is also the release day for their album SINK YOUR TEETH. Want to give a huge congratulations and shout out to @spiritboxmusic on their Grammy Nomination for Best Metal Performance with Jaded. What a week it has been for them indeed. Beyond stoked that @joeljcook and myself have been able to play a small part in their journey thus far.

Thought I'd share a few fun aspects from the Jaded shoot and EP release.

1-2: A small glimpse of the infinite mirror room @johnrichouxdesign built for the band to perform in.

4-5: @mikestringer got one of his guitars custom wrapped in mirror material just for this shoot. It's basically what you'd wrap a car in but he got it done for the guitar instead. Turned out incredible.

6-7: The brilliant @timothysjensen took a fragmented piece of diopter glass and attached it to a small motor that would rotate around the lens as we shot. We used this on close ups of Courtney to create a practical foreground that would reflect light and shift throughout each take. So that out of focus foreground movement you see in those shots is a result of this here.

8-10: BTS shot of me using a probe lens to shoot extreme close ups of crystals. These elements were taken and used by @brandonrike to add to pieces of the album artwork you'll see in the vinyl and CD releases. This was a ton of fun to do.

6-7: The brilliant @timothysjensen took a fragmented piece of diopter glass and attached it to a small motor that would rotate around the lens as we shot. We used this on close ups of Courtney to create a practical foreground that would reflect light and shift throughout each take. So that out of focus foreground movement you see in those shots is a result of this here.

8-10: BTS shot of me using a probe lens to shoot extreme close ups of crystals. These elements were taken and used by @brandonrike to add to pieces of the album artwork you'll see in the vinyl and CD releases. This was a ton of fun to do.

Want to give a huge congratulations and shout out to @spiritboxmusic on their Grammy Nomination for Best Metal Performance with Jaded. What a week it has been for them indeed. Beyond stoked that @joeljcook and myself have been able to play a small part in their journey thus far.

Thought I'd share a few fun aspects from the Jaded shoot and EP release.

1-2: A small glimpse of the infinite mirror room @johnrichouxdesign built for the band to perform in.

4-5: @mikestringer got one of his guitars custom wrapped in mirror material just for this shoot. It's basically what you'd wrap a car in but he got it done for the guitar instead. Turned out incredible.

Happy to share that my video for @lauren_daigle - Thank God I Do won for Music Video of The Year (concept) at the 2023 Dove Awards. Her vocal talent is unparalleled second only to her fun, warm hearted spirit. We shot this in New Orleans earlier this year and the absolute best piece of it all was the crew that @joeljcook and I got to work with; one of the highlights of my year was working with everyone we met there, you all crushed it. Biggest shout out to @wanderingcameras for his non-stop work ethic, @reyna.hope for her calm, intelligent demeanor and fantastic work and especially @em_kingston for artfully putting together more flowers than we could have ever imagined.
