@calintopa is an interdisciplinary artist from Romania whose work moves fluidly between experimental music, sound design, and contemporary art. His practice explores the delicate borders of ambient and neoclassical sound worlds, blending technology with human perception to create immersive sonic experiences.

He is a member of UNITER (Romania), a member of the Association for Sound Design and Production (UK), and serves as the chair of the Sound Design Sub-Commission of the Romanian OISTAT Center.

Călin Țopa este artist interdisciplinar, sound designer și compozitor, activ la intersecția dintre muzica experimentală și arta contemporană, explorând texturi sonore și percepția spațiului și memoriei.

Călin Țopa este artist interdisciplinar, sound designer și compozitor, activ la intersecția dintre muzica experimentală și arta contemporană, explorând texturi sonore și percepția spațiului și memoriei.

Lucrările sale au fost prezentate la World Stage Design 2025, Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (UAE), Bienala Personal Structures 2025 – Veneția, Experimental Loop, New York, precum și în instituții din România: MNAC, MARe, Art Safari și Teatrul Național „I.L. Caragiale”.

Conceptul pornește de la corp ca suprafață de contact – spațiu traversat de granițe, dar deschis transferului.
Pielea devine simultan prag și spațiu de negociere, un câmp al proximității în care identitatea se dilată și se contractă în relație cu celălalt.

Shared Skin propune o cercetare performativă asupra intimității ca gest asumat și asupra fragilității ca practică.
