Printed today! Fantail NZ stamp print from the 1935 Pictorial issue. This stamp comes from my great grandfather RJG Collins’ collection which was passed down to my mum. I have a series of these on my website.

Shooting and then printing these stamps takes so much attention to detail they really pushed me forward technically. I started them around 2010 and I had never shot large format before so I went in to rent the kit and the guy there asked what I was planning. He told me it was a silly idea and I’d be better off shooting on 35mm. Doing macro of something so small on the large format 4x5” needs huge bellows extension which causes diffraction, loss of sharpness and then there is reciprocity failure making the exposures very long. On top of that the dark shadow has to be just right and because I’m printing the film rebate everything has to line up with the negative and the film holder in the camera, the whole thing is a pain.

Claire was quality control on these as I was making them and so many times I would come back from a day printing and Claire would give it to me straight. The shadow wasn’t black enough or the paper was too grey or it was slightly out of line. I was too caught up in the process to see this stuff, I thought they were great but really they weren’t. Only a few prints would make it through.. Thank you @claiream for always telling it like it is

Me with a hand print of Themeda triandra in the show “Parking” curated by Anita King

Along with projected images of endemic grasses.

Corey McGregor @damnmoroda composed the beautiful soundscape “Little Water” to accompany the work.

To take grasses, something as seemingly everyday and spend time with them, willing them to shine in front of the camera. That was the joy.

I am left thinking that all parts of our natural world, no matter how humble or grand, have this ability to call to us.

Really grateful to @anita.c.king for including my work in this project

“The spark for my ongoing photographic series But For the Wisdom started in 2018, when I saw a verge on the side of a road overflowing with wild flowers. A few days later I went back and shot my first meadow.

Since then, I have set out to create a rush of images which I have taken in many different places around the world. There is freedom in the process - I don’t see the final composition until after it is developed but I love the sensory experience of viewing them later, a kind of constellation of flowers reverberating with an energy that is particular only to nature.” - But For The Wisdom by @caseymoore

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
