So excited to finally share that #TheBride will officially begin streaming on @hbomax across the U.S. and Europe on May 22 with an ASL dub featuring @yamiladavis.

I had the honor of working as DASL alongside the incredible Yamila, and I genuinely cannot wait for people to experience this film in such a visual, embodied way. Grateful to everyone behind the scenes who helped bring accessibility and artistry into the same room.

Mark your calendars for May 22 — and help spread the word!

Last night, Jace had his second prom… and this time, he brought his little sister along.

Watching them go from goofy living room dance energy to all dressed up in black and burgundy felt like one of those “wait, when did they grow up?” moments. Nuria was absolutely thrilled to be surrounded by high schoolers all night long. 😅

They danced, laughed, filmed TikToks, and made memories together — and honestly, I think that is my favorite part.

Visual Description:

1. Video 1: Jace and Nuria dance together in casual clothes before transitioning into formal prom outfits. Jace wears a black suit with a burgundy bow tie, while Nuria wears a burgundy gown with a slit. Both smile and laugh while doing a playful TikTok dance transition.
2. Video 2: A second dance transition video featuring the siblings moving in sync before the screen transitions to them dressed for prom. Their energy is playful and confident, with coordinated black and burgundy tones throughout the clip.
3. Video 3: Jace and Nuria continue their TikTok dance trend with another outfit transition sequence, ending with them posing and laughing together in their prom attire.
4. Image: Portrait of Jace standing outdoors near the water in a black suit and burgundy bow tie, looking off into the distance beneath a blue cloudy sky.
5. Image: Full-length photo of Jace and Nuria standing together at the front entrance before prom. Jace wears a black suit with a burgundy bow tie, while Nuria wears a burgundy floor-length dress. Both are smiling and dressed in coordinating colors.

Just like that… Jace turned 16 today. 🥹
We celebrated with an open-captioned movie, Hail Mary, some pool + arcade fun, and wrapped it all up with sushi and strawberry cake. My heart is so full — this mama is beyond proud. ❤️

50 feels like a lot to hold.

I chose to spend it in New York — because that city does something to me. It moves. It creates. It doesn’t apologize for being exactly what it is. That felt right for this moment.

Brooklyn Museum. Jackson Wang live. Early morning brunch with @onlyjac1.

There’s a lot shifting right now. New chapter energy that’s equal parts exciting and disorienting. I’m learning to hold it all a little more loosely — one thing at a time, one step at a time.

Thank you for the birthday love. Truly. My heart is full. 🖤

#throwback to outtakes from my Hurts 2B Human music video with @lollieke. #aslsongcover

Funny how some songs circle back right when you need them most. 💔

Lyrics:

God, it hurts to be human
Without you I’d be losing
And someday we’ll face the music
God, it hurts to be human
But I’ve got you, you, you, you, you, hey
And you’ve got me, me, me, me, too
Like we’re buckled in preparing for the crash
Like we’re walking down a road of broken glass
Now if we defeat all odds
And it was us against the world
You can count on me
You know I’d have your back
God, it hurts to be human
Without you I’d be losing
And someday we’ll face the music
God, it hurts to be human
But I’ve got you, you, you, you, you, hey
And you’ve got me, me, me, me, too
But I’ve got you, you, you, you, you, hey
And you’ve got me, me, me, me, too

#throwback — “Make It Real” by The Jets was one of the very first songs I ever signed — way back in 8th grade. I never get tired of this one. It still hits me the same way and always sets me right.

Not sure how the audio turned out since this was recorded in my car, but here it is anyway.

Lyrics:
Tonight it’s been a year
we met each other here
Here I am all alone
as thoughts of you go on
Hear me cryin’ out to you
you said, “Never, never would I leave”
Here’s a tear from me to you
and maybe it will make you hear me
I love you

When things feel confusing, heavy, or even triggering, I’ve always turned to music. (Lately, I’ve been deep in that space again as I revamp my ASL musicality course.)

This week has been one of reflection, and I came across my “after” translation video—part of celebrating 20 years of sharing ASL song covers.

“Baby, Can I Hold You Tonight” by Tracy Chapman carries a lot for me. I had this song on constant replay during a (college) breakup—one of those seasons filled with guilt, sadness, and trying to make sense of it all. This song held me when I didn’t quite know how to hold myself.

There’s something about Tracy’s music—it always pulls me back from that edge, that quiet abyss of hopelessness.

And in my own way, through my work… I hope to do the same.

VD: Rosa Lee sits against a solid deep blue background, wearing a black cardigan over a graphic tee with an owl design. She has shoulder-length dark hair and a single long earring.

Throwback to this ASL song cover I did about 5 years ago.

Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Came across it while going through old videos… and it still hits.

Here’s a snippet

If I was gay, I would think hip-hop hates me
Have you read the YouTube comments lately?
“Man, that’s gay” gets dropped on the daily
We’ve become so numb to what we’re sayin’
Our culture founded from oppression
Yet we don’t have acceptance for ‘em
Call each other faggots behind the keys of a message board
A word rooted in hate, yet our genre still ignores it
“Gay” is synonymous with the lesser
It’s the same hate that’s caused wars from religion
Gender to skin color, the complexion of your pigment
The same fight that led people to walk-outs and sit-ins
It’s human rights for everybody, there is no difference
Live on and be yourself
When I was at church they taught me something else
If you preach hate at the service those words aren’t anointed
That holy water that you soak in has been poisoned
When everyone else is more comfortable remaining voiceless
Rather than fighting for humans that have had their rights stolen
I might not be the same, but that’s not important
No freedom ‘til we’re equal, damn right I support it

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
