STUDENT SPOTLIGHT:
Celine Blais ( @cececealion ) is a dancer, choreographer, stylist and multidisciplinary artist living and creating in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. Her creative practice is rooted in the art of play and informed by her background in contemporary dance, somatics, fashion and intermedia art. Celine’s work shares stories of the body —the body as archive, the body adorned, the body as language. She is curious about stretching ideas around materiality, both in performance and fashion, to create ephemeral worlds that evoke intuitive ways of being, moving and connecting, with the intention of inviting others to reconnect with their own bodies and creative impulses. Movement, image, and material allow her to access things language can’t touch.
