Główna oś wnętrza biegnie od kuchni do jadalni, przechodzi przez próg zaznaczony lustrzanym stopniem, a następnie przecina salon aż do kominka. Jest to główna oś mieszkania, na której znajduje się wiele kluczowych elementów: lustro tworzące perspektywę i odbicia, wapień na odsłoniętych ścianach i na podłodze z kamiennymi kaboszonami z Nivernais oraz zakrzywione belki na suficie, wygięte pod ciężarem wieków. Belki są widoczne i wszechobecne – nadają strukturę przestrzeni i narzucają swój rytm, podczas gdy druga oś – prostopadła do głównej – biegnie od salonu do sypialni. Więcej: link w BIO.

W tym niemal teatralnym apartamencie w dzielnicy Marais w Paryżu studio Chaille @chaille__ dokonało współczesnej interpretacji miejsca z przeszłością, wykorzystując jego historię jako materiał do stworzenia wyjątkowej opowieści.

Znajdujemy się rzut kamieniem od Place des Vosges, na trzecim piętrze typowego dla tej dzielnicy XIV-wiecznego budynku wzniesionego w technice muru pruskiego. „Kiedyś były to dwa oddzielne budynki, które zostały później połączone. Pamiątką po tym jest niewielki stopień na granicy salonu i kuchni. Jest to jedno z głównych ograniczeń tego miejsca, które dzieli dużą przestrzeń na dwie części i właśnie ten element stanowił nasz punkt wyjścia do dalszego planowania”, przyznaje architekt, projektant i dyrektor artystyczny – Jérémy Chaillou, założyciel multidyscyplinarnego studia Chaille @chaille__.
