Film in Oklahoma is HERE TO STAY! 🎬 @drtameccarogers, Founder and Camp Director of the Keepin' It Reel: Script 2 Screen Youth Camp, is on a mission and it goes far beyond teaching kids how to act. She's focused on putting Green Country students on real, lasting career paths in the film industry.

Registration is now open for students ages 10–18 who are interested in every facet of the filmmaking industry, from screenwriting and directing to production, editing, and everything in between.

📅 When: June 15–19, 2026 | 9AM – 3PM daily
📍 Where: TWHTV Studios at Webster High School

The week-long, immersive camp for ages 10–18, held at Webster High School's state-of-the-art TWHTV Studios, teaches students the ins and outs of creating a short film from start to finish. The student's short films will premiere as part of the 2026 Circle Cinema Film Festival.

The Woody Guthrie Center presents the world premiere of “Woody Guthrie and the Ghost of Tom Joad Today,” a new documentary narrated by Rosanne Cash exploring the life, work and enduring impact of Woody Guthrie. The screening will take place on June 25, 2026, at Circle Cinema.

Writer and director Greg Mitchell will share insights into the making of the film, from research and archival discoveries to the process of bringing Guthrie’s story to the screen. The evening will also include a live musical performance that reflects the spirit of Guthrie’s legacy.

As a tie-in to the current “Going Electric: Bob Dylan ’65” exhibition, on view through July 5, the Bob Dylan Center is pleased to present an evening with Scott Freiman, host of the popular PBS series “Deconstructing the Beatles.” For this special multimedia event at Circle Cinema, Freiman will deconstruct folk music, exploring the genre’s roots and evolutions in both the U.S. and U.K. — from ancient British ballads and Appalachian work songs to the thriving folk revival scenes of the 1950s and ‘60s — as these traditions led to the chiming guitars and literary lyrics of folk rock.
