Managed to capture a true moment of musical magic as my wife @cocohames bandmate/partner in The Ettes, @ponisilver, performed a Palm Springs karaoke bar version of Danzig's "Mother" so powerfully intense that a group of elderly golf bros watching her were instantly turned into full-on Fiends. #legacyofbrutality

Behind the seams!! We needed some costumes to go with the dance portion for @theettes Not At All video so of course I partnered up with my dear friend @moxiegrey! We’ve been working together for over a decade on many projects but this one was extra special because it was ours! Our main goal was movement and sparkle. For my piece, I wanted a ‘70s Cher/Tina Turner aesthetic so started with a Norma Kamali bodysuit as a base and build off of that (you can never have enough sequins and rhinestones. K?). Leslie’s concoction of 4 different types of fringe (including silk fabric she cut into strips) was genius and made the skirts movement to be fluid and light and sparkle just right. For Coco’s, we wanted a 60s Rockette vibe so we did several layers of black chainette fringe topped with gunmetal rhinestone fringe in an art deco cut for the skirt and epaulettes! Added lots of rhinestones and Coco added lots of leg! Couldn’t have done it all without @maddifrances assisting! Watch the whole video on YouTube to see all the costumes and styling! 💋 Beloved around the world and especially in his own back yard(s), Davey is not only a supremely talented multi-instrumentalist but also a great cook, host, and friend. Generous, hilarious, and full of love, he’s all the hype around him and more. And did I mention the obvs? Saw the incredible @juliettelewis talking with the divine @drewbarrymore on the @thedrewbarrymoreshow today, reminiscing about working together on Drew’s directorial debut Whip It! for which they used our song “Crown of Age” during the big bout scene. Let me tell you how that came a-bout! 💥

We were playing a showcase at @sxsw and I saw from the stage this beautiful blonde woman 🤩 and she yelled “I love the Ettes!” I was like 😮 omg that’s Drew Barrymore! She was so cool and sweet and gracious and all the things you think she is. What a diamond 💎
