Just completed my first ever vacation with my Mom! We went to Japan and explored Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. With my job and where I live it’s really hard to be able to see my family often so this trip is something I will cherish forever. But now, it’s time to get back to work for these summer festivals! When you get signed, you start thinking about what everybody else wants. Like, if we want to be the number one band in the world, what do number one bands do? What does radio want? What does the label want? What do you guys want?

Thinking about all of that is not what got us started. It’s not what got us noticed. That’s not what brought all of you to us in the first place.

All I ever want to be is authentic, and it’s so heartening to realize this most authentic version of Set It Off connect with so many of y’all.

We’re finally on the radio, there are more of you guys showing up at every tour, Set It Off shirts and vinyl are being shipped across the world…

We’ve arrived more than we ever have with these songs, because THIS is the Set It Off sound. There’s gonna be new people that listen to us each and every day, and we want them to know that THIS is Set It Off.

We found ourselves again with this new album, and I couldn’t be more proud.

It’s exactly how it should’ve been done. Going into this album and new era… once we decided to do this without a label, my first thought was, ‘I wanna go back to that 19-year-old kid who just learned how to write music in his bedroom, for nobody but himself’.

When you get signed, you start thinking about what everybody else wants. Like, if we want to be the number one band in the world, what do number one bands do? What does radio want? What does the label want? What do you guys want?

Thinking about all of that is not what got us started. It’s not what got us noticed. That’s not what brought all of you to us in the first place.

All I ever want to be is authentic, and it’s so heartening to realize this most authentic version of Set It Off connect with so many of y’all.

We’re finally on the radio, there are more of you guys showing up at every tour, Set It Off shirts and vinyl are being shipped across the world…

We’ve arrived more than we ever have with these songs, because THIS is the Set It Off sound. There’s gonna be new people that listen to us each and every day, and we want them to know that THIS is Set It Off.

And now, we’re going to keep fighting. I think this album and these songs deserve to be played in a stadium. I think we deserve to be top billed on festivals. I think we deserve the respect from our peers who would overlook us constantly.
