“The Old Man & the Parrot” a film by @cocuyo_productions co written and produced by @kevin.ondarza starring @rubenrabasa

I had the honor to create the parrot puppets for the film and the film had its world premiere last week at @slamdancegroup in LA

I’m stunned at the beauty and overall message of this film. This is easily one of the most meaningful projects I will ever work on. Everyone’s performance was spectacular. The score by @fakedadtheband was immaculate. This movie makes me cry in a good way. Hopefully the whole world will have the chance to watch it soon. ❤️

I am also an extra in a scene with @sabrinathebruja it warms my heart to see her in the film even for a second.

Aggro Dr1ft, a film by Harmony Korine. This was the first film I was fortunate enough to work on. I created 4 matching latex masks of my own design, painted in a requested bright green paint scheme.

You can see the 4 matching masks I made on the evil, little people, henchmen that have dubbed chipmunk noises over them. You can’t miss them, they’re in the film a considerable amount. Crazy to think the first film I’d ever contribute something to was a fever dream by Harmony Korine, full circle moment for me as I happened to be a fan of his work since I was young. Somebody go watch it and let me know if you see my name in the credits!

Sculpted a new head yesterday that will become half masks as well as prop heads. I’ll trim the neck off for the wearable mask versions. Sculpted in WED clay, then molded in plaster.

Finally made my way over to the @icamiami to check out the Harmony Korine retrospective which included this oil painting he did featuring the masks I made for his film Aggro Dr1ft

This painting is huge, here I am for scale. It’s a surreal feeling to see something I contributed to in this setting.

Harmony Korine retrospective just opened up at the @icamiami featuring this painting of a still from his film Aggro Dr1ft in which they’re wearing my masks I made for the film. Pretty neat. This was first shown at Hauser & Wirth gallery in LA a while back.

I’m very proud of the whole team behind She’ll Come Back, the short film by @aryl.films and I’m loving this new poster designed by @dreamfruition featuring the creature I made

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the screenings of the 2 films I worked on at the Miami Film Festival.

Life has been crazy and I haven’t had much time for myself to enjoy things like this, but either way I was there in spirit and was just happy to see people watching these films in real life.

So grateful to have such a talented group of filmmaker friends.
