For two years we walked through buildings that almost worked - too small, too expensive, too far gone.
Ann St was the first one that felt like it could actually hold what we’ve been trying to build -
seventeen studios, built from scratch inside this old shell with amazing neighbors.
We’re getting close now.
Doors open in June.
Five of the studios are still open if you’re looking for a place to land and work.
We’re artists building this for other artists.
Come be a part of it.

More Labornotation drawings. Students were tasked with documenting past and speculating on upcoming work at the @cpca.studio garden, using Labanotation in novel ways and particular to landscape labor -
1 - Jackson and Christopher's documentation drawing notates the movements of five workers on the site -- jack-hammering, moving asphalt, planting, and moving through the space. Notably, they've broken up the Labanotation "staff" into shorter chunks, spread and spatialized across the drawing
2 - Jackson's final speculative drawing evolves the conventions of Labanotation symbols into his own use -- here for scripting how variously a worker, an artist, and a visitor might move through the space
3 - Christopher again tweaks the staff and puts it underground -- making the staff part of a landscape section, above which the activities of spraying, drilling, sawing, jack-hammering, planting, and seeding occur. Each symbol on the staff describes the bodily movement of those actions in time!
4 - Zachary keenly observed that each worker was wearing different colored gloves and keyed their labor movements with this palette. Fun! The icons help to understand the movement symbols' relation to the objects interacted with - a standard convention in Labanotation to add what is necessary, when necessary
Thanks to @cpca.studio garden for letting us study the space and draw the work, and of course to @marapfr for guiding us along the way ❤️

One way to value labor is to study it... by figuring out how to draw it in deeper, more methodical ways. My new course "Labornotation" uses the language of dance documentation (called Labanotation) to observe, document, and script landscape labor. A lot of thought-provoking conversations, and beautiful drawings, came out of this challenging new territory!
Here is @aubree.laureen 's final drawing - speculating on the labor to come at the @cpca.studio garden this spring and summer. On the right is the Labanotation score for moving plants out of storage, placing, and planting. The graphite drawings trace her physical puzzling over how to write the Laban score for these movements--echoing both her intellectual labor and the embodied thinking this kind of drawing requires.
A big thank you to @marapfr of the OSU Special Collections of Dance Notation for collaborating on this course!

WOW thank you for all of the print purchases and support so far 💪🎉🔨🔌🚪!! Our team is reinvigorated and things are moving full speed ahead thanks to YOU!
We are busy finishing framing, hanging drywall, roughing in plumbing, and finishing electrical work with outlets and emergency lighting. It’s been a thrill to have the building full of activity again and we can’t wait to open the doors.
Our print fundraiser runs through May 11th so there’s still time to purchase some of this beautiful work at the link in our bio. Funds raised help cover the costs of finishing the work to get CPCA open to the public. Thanks again to the incredible artists contributing work.

From far and wide: help us support our artist-run, community art center in Columbus, Ohio!
* Online Print Sale Fundraiser
* April 9 - May 11
After a long year of construction, permit delays, and endless behind-the-scenes problem solving, we are finally in the home stretch! We’ve secured the approvals we need, construction is moving forward, and we are now about 6 weeks away from reopening our doors in June.
To help carry us through this final stretch, over 65 artists have generously contributed images for this special print sale fundraiser, which is now live.
Each work is available as an unsigned open-edition photographic print for $150, printed in-house in CPCA’s digital lab on paper generously donated by Midwest Photo (@mpex_photo_video ) and @fotospeed . The proceeds directly support the final phase of construction, including contractor payments, electrical and HVAC completion, life-safety and ADA upgrades, and the last details needed to make this place a sustainable and welcoming space for everyone.
Thank you for helping bring our community art space across the finish line. We cannot wait to welcome you in!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
