We’re now open for film submissions and applications for our Inter:Active exhibition for CPH:DOX 2027 👀
Have you created — or are you currently working on — a documentary film, immersive work, or art piece? Now’s your chance to share your project with audiences at one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals.
The festival is open to films of any duration as well as interactive formats such as VR, AR, Mixed Media, and installations.
The deadlines for submitting a film or art-piece are:
• September 1, 2026 (for films or projects finished by that date)
• November 3, 2026 (for films or projects finished after September 1)
Films and projects selected for the festival are notified immediately, and all submitted films/projects will be notified by mid-February 2027 at the latest.

Instruktør Karin Pennanen har altid været fascineret af sin kunstneriske og mystiske onkel, Markku – en alsidig komponist og kunstner fra Finland.
Pludselig forsvinder onklen uden forklaring og trækker sig tilbage til et selvbygget kunstnerhus i udkanten af en lille finsk by. Her skaber han et enormt kunstnerisk værk, som han skjuler for resten af verden.

I den danske dokumentarserie følger vi den opsigtsvækkende konflikt mellem oligarken Dmitry Rybolovlev og kunsthandleren Yves Bouvier – en sag, der udvikler sig til et årti langt opgør og blotlægger kunstverdenens tætte forbindelser til magt, korruption og ekstrem rigdom.
En fascinerende og foruroligende serie om penge, magt og alt det, der foregår bag kunstverdenens flotte facade.

Hvad sker der, når politiske visioner møder virkelige mennesker? 🏘️
I dokumentarfilmen 'Tingbjerg-Eksperimentet' følger instruktør Louise Detlefsen et ambitiøst forsøg på at bryde med et såkaldt parallelsamfund. Unge middelklassefamilier bliver håndplukket til at flytte ind i det udsatte boligområde Tingbjerg med visionen om, at nye naboer, nye ressourcer og nye relationer skal ændre bydelen indefra.
Men kan man planlægge social integration ovenfra? Og kan man overhovedet skabe fællesskab gennem politiske strategier og byudvikling — eller overser man dem, der allerede kalder Tingbjerg for hjem?
'Tingbjerg-Eksperimentet' er en varm, kompleks og tankevækkende fortælling om idealer, identitet og forandring.

Glædelig Mors Dag 🌸
Vores mødre giver os livet... men der var kun én mor, som gav os 'The Birkin'. Få den perfekte afslutning på Mors Dag og stream den gribende og nærværende mor/datter fortælling 'Jane by Charlotte' på PARA:DOX.
Instruktør og datter Charlotte Gainsbourg lader os komme helt tæt på sin mor, i et dokumentarisk portræt af den ikoniske sanger og kunstner Jane Birkin. Et liv fyldt med oplevelser og eventyr, som de færreste er forundt, men også med bump på vejen. Ikke mindst i kølvandet på et stormfuldt forhold til legenden – og Charlottes far – Serge Gainsbourg.
I filmen følger vi to enestående kvinder, mor og datter, i en række intime og nærværende samtaler om livet, kunsten og kærligheden🩷

Got an experimental media project? CPH:LAB wants to hear from you📫
CPH:LAB is a talent development programme for artists keen to explore new forms of expression in factual storytelling and to advance new visions of what a documentary can be in a digital age.
Over several months, participants develop their projects through workshops, peer exchange and mentorship from leading practitioners, with one intensive residential week together at the CPH:DOX headquarters in Copenhagen.
As a dynamic incubator, we empower creators to explore digital interactive technologies, including Mixed Reality (MR), Extended Reality (XR), immersive experiences, videogames and AI for storytelling.
The program culminates in a presentation of your project and prototype to industry professionals at the following year's CPH:DOX festival.
Past LAB participants have gone on to show their work at Venice Immersive, IDFA, SXSW, Sheffield, CPH:DOX INTER:ACTIVE and more.
