Creative Time Gala AFTER HOURS PARTY...still recovering, still obsessed 🪩🔥
Coming together in support of public art has never looked better–artists, collaborators, and community gathered as one late into the night. DJ sets by @leighlezark + @dj_jean_darmes kept the energy high. Ukrainian vodka in hand. Faux dancing bears in the room. A rotating glimmer of Fabergé energy.
Made possible in partnership with @nordstrom. With thanks to @casadragones Tequila for keeping the night flowing.

Under the rosy glow of the @russiantearoom, Creative Time’s 2026 Gala brought together artists, collaborators, friends, and supporters for a celebration of public art, community, and a bold new chapter ahead.
In partnership with @Nordstrom, we honored @guadalupe__maravilla, Michelle Coffey (@coffeyticket), and @mollygochmanstudio, whose practices continue to shape the dialogues, debates, and dreams of our time.
From cocktails to dinner to our iconic 𝑨𝑭𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑯𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑻𝒀, vibes were high, conversation flowed, and the dance floor was full. There were cymbal-clanging bears, glasses raised, and so much joy—but what stays with us most is the energy of a community gathering around artists and ideas that push form, take risks, and imagine new ways of being together.
We are deeply grateful to our Board, Co-Chairs, Benefit Committees, and all who made this night possible. An extra special thanks to @bloombergdotorg, @casadragones Tequila, and @houseofwarisbotanicals for helping bring such warmth and spirit to the night. That spirit carries forward. As Creative Time steps into this next chapter, there is so much ahead.
If you’d like to support what comes next, consider making a gift at the link in bio. 🖤

“A very Creative Time project is when you can really feel the alchemy between a visionary artist, a bold idea and the space in which their project is sited.”— Jean Cooney
That alchemy has shaped the work of Creative Time for over 50 years, unexpected projects that take risks, push form, and leave an indelible mark. In Jean’s recent interview with @Observer, Jean reflects on the ideas that continue to drive the organization forward.
As we look toward Creative Time’s 2026 Gala, we’re thinking in that same spirit and about what’s coming next.

To close out Women’s History Month–and the conversations we carry year-round–we look back to a 2013 Creative Time project that transformed a a residential Brooklyn block into a space for collective dialogue. 🏙️🗣️
On October 19, 2013, Creative Time and the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the @brooklynmuseum presented “Between the Door and the Street,” a work by artist @suzanne.lacy. Around 400 women, and a few men, gathered along the stoops of Park Place in Brooklyn to engage in unscripted conversations about gender, labor, and pressing social issues. Thousands of visitors wandered among the groups, listening, reflecting, and forming their own understanding of the complexities of contemporary life.
The project grew out of months of deep dialogue and collaboration with a diverse group of advisors, ensuring that every conversation carried lived experience, urgency, and insight. Lacy’s work transformed public space into a platform for civic engagement, showing how collective voices can illuminate the challenges women navigate daily and create possibilities for community building and organizing.

What does it look like when art heals a community? 🩺💙
In 2014, Creative Time and @weeksvilleheritagecenter presented “Funk, God, Jazz, and Medicine: Black Radical Brooklyn,” a walkable exhibition exploring Black self-determination, history, and community in Brooklyn—curated by Rashida Bumbray (@sunrara), and @NatoThompson, and co-curated by Elissa Blount-Moorhead (@ebmoorhead) and Rylee Eterginoso (@eterginoso). Launching from the historic site of Weeksville, one of the nation’s earliest free Black communities, artists created site-specific projects that celebrated resilience, creativity, and collective care.
Artist @simoneyvetteleigh transformed Stuyvesant Mansion into the “Free People’s Medical Clinic,” honoring the often-overlooked work of Black nurses, midwives, and doctors—from 19th-century pioneers like Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Steward and Dr. Josephine English to contemporary caregivers. Classes, wellness sessions, and performances made the space a living celebration of care, dignity, and community.
Alongside Leigh, the exhibition featured projects by Xenobia Bailey (@xenba_xenba), Bradford Young, and Otabenga Jones & Associates, each activating Brooklyn’s neighborhoods through creativity, history, and community collaboration.
Rooted in Weeksville’s enduring legacy of self-determination, these projects show how art can illuminate hidden histories while making space for reflection, care, and connection.

In 1991, Creative Time and artist Juliet Cuming brought a pro-choice PSA to tv screens with “The Most Exciting Women in Music.”
The project featured influential voices from pop and hip-hop including Corina, @thekatepierson, @kimletgordo, @mclyte, @theladymisskier, Tina Weymouth, and @crystalwaters, who used their platforms to reintroduce pro-choice politics to a generation that had grown up after Roe v. Wade.
Produced at Kaufman Astoria Studios with more than 200 volunteers, the PSA tapped into MTV-era pop culture to make reproductive rights visible despite challenges securing airtime and attacks from the right-wing press aimed at discrediting National Endowment for the Arts (@neaarts).
More than three decades later, the project remains a reminder that freedom of expression in the US, whether around reproductive rights, voting rights, racial justice, and equity in public life, has never been guaranteed.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
