L’Rain
Performance Space New York

MINNEAPOLIS!🚨 RARE SELFIE. THIS SATURDAY! I am beyond excited to be here preparing a show for you with the best crew and best band at @walkerartcenter . A live record in the making in front of all of you (and in the green room and during rehearsals). I feel like a little egg about to hatch. Or the slime dripping from a slug in heat. Incubation! New music, new ideas, seedlings of what’s to come for upcoming tours. I’m not not (not not not not) saying there is a new record about to spawn out of my hands and mouth and ears. 😈 Come see the sketches and be immortalized in L’Rain history for years to come. Tickets in my stories and bio. See you s👀n!

We’re starting the year off strong with our first Making Space event of the year! This Sunday, January 11, Artistic Director of Performance Space NY @turrelljames, convenes an international roster of artists making daring work in the face of censorship and political backlash. Participants include Obie Award–winning performance artist and JACK co‑founder Jennifer Kidwell, multi‑hyphenate artist and activist @therealnarcissister, and interdisciplinary curator and writer @lumit.

Tuesday night was definitely one for the books! It was so incredible to speak with @turrelljames about her amazing song “People Are Small/Rapture” and publicly thank her for featuring my voice alongside my friend @doroshow. And to hear it on the sound tower installation at @lichennyc was an experience in itself. 💞
The night was a beautiful reminder of trans resilience. We aren’t going nowhere. You cannot erase it. Point blank, period. 🏳️⚧️✊🏾 Thank you to everyone who came out in support. Shout out to @nyctransoralhistoryproject, @glits_inc, and @redhotorg for organizing this event!

Thank you @anohni (and @musex1 !) for reminding us of the (ongoing/lingering) horrors of the AIDS crisis while also reminding us that joy, perseverance (rapture!) was possible and still is. Planet earth has seen too many nightmares and continues to. The future will require us to tap in with our ancestors and remain nimble and creative. Thank you @redhotorg and the entire TRANSA community (especially @massima.bell @fkadust @iterrytommy ) for providing us with a little fuel—more community, more art, more celebration that promises to nourish us in the time ahead.
I knew I needed this song to bring in the brilliant trans community surrounding me in New York, so I spent hours listening to and reading interviews on the @nyctransoralhistoryproject website. Thank you endlessly to @imara_jones_ @mojodisco @doroshow and Francois who lent their voices to this song. It’s a long one because I wanted to highlight them and their words. Be sure to follow @translashmedia and @glits_inc and listen to Mojo Disco’s music. Read and listen to more interviews in the NYC Trans Oral History Project archive. Listen to and read the @mexican_summer project Blacklips: Her Life and Her Many, Many Deaths by
ANOHNI and Marti Wilkerson that inspired my contribution to TRANSA. Think of this song and this project as an endless proposition for ways to support queer and trans people in your communities. We all need it.
I could not have done this without the inimitable @thisiswill_g_pasta (engineer and producer), my L’Rain partner in crime @ben7483904628206947300 (accompanying synths and sax), my dear friend @darian.donovan.thomas (violin/effects, background vocals), my big bro @andrewlappin (mixing), and the one and only @heba_kadry (mastering). Thank you all for trusting me and helping me.
It’s the honor of a lifetime to be in community with so many artists I admire so deeply. ❤️ And as always thank you to my friends @beverlyglenncopeland and @elspeth_glenn for inspiring so much of this compilation. I love you!
LISTEN TO THIS WHOLE DAMN THING NOW AND PRE-ORDER THE BOX SET!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
