documentarian, musician and sound person
Delighted to be screening as this years official selection at Docs Ireland.
It's a really cool festival for anyone interested in documentaries, would highly suggest having a look at this years program!
@docsireland
most likely the last one for a while.
these videos were a lot of fun to film. in this particular take, my camera man Tómas Farrelly, completed a transaction behind camera with someone he met on adverts.ie. that is why you can see my smiling and shaking my head in utter disbelief.
if you'd like to see more piano accordion performances - wander the streets of dublin or the piers of dún laoghaire and if you keep an open ear and follow the music, you might find me playing my accordion.

Some more analogue photography from 'Tales of Railway's Past' shot in 2025.
Originally I was very disappointed with how these photographs turned out - they were under exposed and I felt because of that, people who looked at them wouldn't get to see the what I wanted them to see. The purpose for the photograph to be taken.
Upon revisiting them, I've grown to like them. The black and white brings an other worldliness to them. The lack of information invites the viewer to fill in the dots.

The Dublin Protests shot on Film
All of these are unedited. I asked Mr John Gunn for a funky (and cheap) roll of film, this is what he gave me: Phoenix C41 Colour Film ISO 200.
I quite like it, although the darks are really dark.

Another Excerpt from The Old Way, a short documentary available to watch via link in bio.
Here is an excerpt from The Old Way, which is now available to watch via the link in my bio. This short documentary explores the preparation of food in the traditional ways of Irish Travellers, as told through the memories of Nan O’Brien. The Home I Left Behind was sung by Celina O’Leary.
It was an absolute pleasure working with this group. This project is part of a four-year collaboration with Southside Traveller Action Group and the Access Office in IADT. Although STAG is now dissolved, we are still working together with the original members to share more stories.
The Drowned Girl by Yann Tiersen.
Posting a couple of street performances for the 25th Anniversary of Amélie. I'm smiling a lot in this one cos there was all sorts of funny occurrences happening off camera including a funny occurrence on camera at the end.
Also had a play with the mix so if it sounds funny try listening with headphones hehe.

Seeing Amélie will be having it's 25th anniversary since release in cinemas, I thought it'd be fun to record some street performances playing some of Yann Tiersen's incredible soundtrack.
Thanks @tomfarrelly01 for recording.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
