Coming May 30th & 31st: the part of cinematography no one teaches.

A mentorship for cinematographers stepping into their first features or navigating the years where everything starts to get real.

How you get the job. How you prep, collaborate, and make decisions under pressure. How you lead a crew. How you hold your ground. How you protect your voice within constraints and on-set politics.

Over one intensive weekend, you virtually shadow Natasha Braier ASC, ADF through the full arc of a project, then we break it down live, with space for the questions that are usually left out.

Off the record. Unfiltered. Said as it is.

The weekend is just the beginning. The connection and support continue year-round, with live Q&As and a private Discord
group.

We already opened this to the existing DEEP-LIGHT community first and half of the spots are already gone. Last year sold out in two weeks. If this resonates, check the program now & book your spot.

Everyone is asking how we made the heartbeat effect in @iloveboostersmovie , so we got the legend Dan Sasaki to explain it himself on his way out from watching the movie at the AMC theatres with the DEEP-LIGHT community. Dan created a special set of lenses for us using old Panavision B series anamorphic from the 50’s combined with elements from a bunch of older lenses and parts all the way back to the 1930s movie classics. He also designed a unique lithium element to add to the magic and create our unique look. All in camera , made for you , for your eyes , to appreciate in the BIG screen. Go this weekend! #Dan Sasaki #lenstunning @panavisionofficial @bootsriley @neonrated

When @jessicaarzate joined the mentorship, she was just out of AFI. Since then, it’s been beautiful to watch her slowly grow into her own voice while navigating her first features and finding her place in the industry.

She also shadowed Natasha during the virtual production portion of I LOVE BOOSTERS and quickly became way more than a fly on the wall, but a real collaborator, assistant, and ally through a very intense process.

Seeing mentees grow like this is honestly one of the most rewarding parts of DEEP-LIGHT.

The 2026 LIVE mentorship kicks off May 30–31 with an intensive online weekend.
Last spots remaining.

We had more than 60 applications from cinematographers around the world for this year’s LUX Scholarship.
Honestly… it wasn’t easy.

There was so much talent, sensitivity, honesty, and passion in these applications that not being able to award more scholarships was genuinely painful for us.

We’re trying to reply personally to everyone, so please bear with us. We’re still a very small team, and we really do read and see every application with care. ❤️

Congratulations again to @denisefwoods — and thank you to everyone who opened up and shared their work and story with us.

And… there are still 3 spots left for the 2026 live mentorship. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time.

Yes we also go deep into lighting in this mentorship program. But not as formulas to imitate.

We talk about why an image works emotionally. How to read a space, a face, and shape light with intention.
Because the goal is not just to make beautiful images. It’s to develop a stronger point of view.
A deeper understanding of story and emotion and the confidence to know what a scene actually needs… and commit to portraying it boldly, through your own eyes.

One person joining this year’s mentorship will also win a Nanlux 150C to continue exploring light beyond the class, gifted by @nanlite_global

LIVE online May 30–31.
Only a few spots left.

@christianfitzpatrickacs is an incredibly talented ACS cinematographer/director from Australia who joined the very first edition of the DEEP-LIGHT mentorship program.
Not long after, he flew all the way to Atlanta to shadow Natasha Braier on the set of I LOVE BOOSTERS. Originally he was only supposed to come for one day, but when we realized how far he had travelled, how much money he had spent that he honestly didn’t really have, and how committed he was to learning and going deeper into his craft, there was no way we were letting him stay just one day… so he ended up spending the whole week with us.
Recently he came back again, this time for Bradford Young’s live lab at Panavision. What we love about Christian is not just his talent, but the fact that he takes action on his growth instead of waiting for the “perfect moment.” In this industry, the people who move forward are often the ones willing to say yes to opportunities before they feel fully ready, and there’s something really powerful about witnessing that in real time. Christian just won two ACS awards this month for his bold and experimental work on commercials. We will be sharing his work here soon.
There’s still a few spots left to join this years mentorship program. Link in bio.

I created this mentorship because I remember how lonely and overwhelming the jump into bigger projects felt when I was starting.

Not so much the technical side, but the human side. Walking into rooms where everyone expected me to have answers. Leading bigger crews for the first time. Navigating directors, producers, pressure, insecurity, politics, self doubt, imposter syndrome… while trying not to lose my own voice inside all of it.

Nobody really talks openly about that part of the job, but honestly, it’s the biggest part of the job, and the hardest. Especially in those first years when things finally start opening up and you suddenly realize this career can also become emotionally brutal.

I created this for the people arriving at that chapter now. The ones about to do their first features, or their first “real” jump. The ones feeling excited and terrified at the same time. This mentorship is meant to help you navigate that transition with more clarity, support, honesty, and less isolation than I had when I went through it.

I only run it once a year with a small group of cinematographers. This year we begin May 30–31 with an intensive live online weekend, and there’s only a few spots left.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
