@purevinyllondon on May 21st, we'll be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of my debut single release with @telefaxproductions @classicmusicco & @defectedrecords "Break This House Down"
I never got to celebrate the original release due to a long and intense stint with crippling depression where 3 missing person reports were made to the police and flyers were put up.
The second and only other release with @medlar_ & @delusionsofgrandeurrecords came out on vinyl around the same time as well, called "Dot the T's"
Now, I was recently contacted by the one and only @faithlessofficial and I've already written & recorded two songs with them, with more big news on the way!
Next week at open decks we celebrate DeeVoe's journey.

The silent retreat was a way of eliminating the endless distractions that exist in this modern world to really see what's going on in the mind. While a lot of clarity was achieved, naivety does not bypass the fact that I don't really know anything. Change is the only guarantee that seems accompany existence, so I intend to embrace it all best I can. A silent retreat is highly recommended.

Mortality and time appear to be something that's taken for granted more often than not from a personal perspective. One decision can lead to alignment with unfortunate events that can quickly bring an end to these blessings we've been granted; how do I change this habit?..Is it through applying more gratitude to seemingly arbitrary moments & experiences, or is it giving more effort to the overall journey of life itself?

Letting go of the past and grabbing ahold of the future seemed to be a common theme of the silent retreat as well. Dreams became more vivid and intense while involving forgotten entities that were thought to be lost ones. While questions can often feed doubt and block blessings, it was hard not to awake and wonder "why". In the end, the silence proved that there were some things that needed true closure in order to really move forward and let go; which lead to the concept of forgiveness.
Forgiveness has become such an important part of healing as personal maturity continues to develop. Figuring out how to understand that some people just are, and that's how they will be, has made this concept a bit easier to implement.

Accepting that things just are, has proven to be a personal triumph over the habit of feeling and over thinking. Unfortunately, they're still seems to be some lingering reflexes tied to external validation and imposter syndrome, but with acceptance comes practice towards a more controlled co-existence with these seemingly inevitable personal traits.

I'm feeling a lot of things right now, but nothing beats how grateful I am.
